This is so true about them being easier to damage. I use full body cases that have built in screen protectors and my flat screen samsung went through 3 to 4 years of being dropped (i work in construction) never a crack. I finally upgrade and new phone has curved screen. Bought the same exact case for my new phone and 6 months later. It has 2 cracks on screen edge 😢. Lesson learned. No more curved displays for me

Another problem with curved display is selecting text at the edges is really difficult. I wish they'd add a quick setting to android to reduce the resolution/crop the display with black bars on the curve.

That completely restricts the purpose of having a bezel-less screen. Rather buy a flat screen phone.

@@kalpanadevi6436 Not if it were a quick option in the top slide down toolbar it wouldn't - or even better if it automatically went full screen for things like video/games. That said I'd still prefer a flat screen phone...

plus it's more economical to replace screen in flat displays when broken, something needs to be considered when displays are costing 3rd of whole package.

With the curved display, as can be seen from the video, the case always leaves the side part of the screen higher than it seems from the video, so in the event of a fall on its face it always seems more fragile, right?

The case that comes with it is useless in terms of protection , get a good protective case that protrudes the edges. The neg glass is ridiculously fragile.

@@TechPoojari Is the cover you use at minute 1:34 of the video on the side higher than the screen or does the screen always remain higher? All the ones I've seen are taller only in the corners and then leave the screen higher on the side.

I'm using a flat-screen phone and never use tempered glass screen protectors. For me, it's all based on the phone casing. The most trustworthy phone casing I mostly use is the Xundd casing, and my phone screen never breaks because of falling.

Very good & useful information provided. Thanks. I was about to purchase vivo T2 pro, but i was little confused about this safety/ handling issue. Still can't take decision. I liked the phone very much looking at specs & overall great reviews seen in Flipkart. But.... I don't find any other mobile like this as my top priority is 'Auto call recording without announcement ', which is available only in Vivo this model only ( other than Samsung). If any other option there then pls let me know...

All realme, oppo , and OnePlus too has this feature. You just have to install color os own dialer called O dialer. And you are done. Just uninstall the Google dialer and use OEM dialer.😂😂

You are confusing the curved edges of a phone's body and a curved screen. A curved screen has nothing do to with the feel or comfort.
