My wife knows a couple where the lady is Chinese, and can't speak English and the guy is Australian, and can't speak Chinese. She sold them a house (she's a real estate agent), and she had to act as a translator to communicate things between them. After the sale, the woman still contacted her on occasion for translation help. I told her they are crazy. I also have another friend who knows a couple just like this, but the woman is always talking about how she is going to scam the husband...in front of the husband. Wow, I have so much to say regarding this topic, but I'll try to keep it short for you all. In my time being here (I came to china march 2010) I have seen 15 people including myself getting divorced. (and more to come) Now back then Fuzhou was a tier 3 city (now it's a tier 2) and the Expat community never has been big here. Not all those marriages that ended up in a divorce where with Fuzhou girls. But a lot of them were. And for most guys that got together with the first girl they met when coming to China. One of the common mistakes that I have seen is that most didn't do their research or thought: this girl is different. And don't get me wrong, there are girls that are different and walk their own patch. Without any peer pressure or pressure from the family. But those are so rare, chances meeting one of those is small, to say the least. One of the big problems (this is also from my own personal experience) is elderly worship. Basically, do what your parents and or grandparents tell you to do. So partly you marry into the old ways of thinking, which in most cases or by western standards are: outdated contradicting and straight out rediculous to just name a few. I think something to consider if you want to get together with a Chinese girl would be: what are her motives? Because in general Chinese people get married because of opportunity (I know this also happens elsewhere) Ask yourself the question: Why is this "hot" girl not getting a wealthy Chinese guy for example. Or why is she 29+ and not married yet(24-28 is the time to do so here)? Do most girls marry out of love here? Not in my opinion. Do they marry because of getting a green card or to get a better financial situation for themselves and their families? Most definitely! Are foreigners the only option that is left for them after a specific age? Mainly Yes! Are all girls like that? No! But most are from what I have seen, and if you are ok with that. Then yeah go for it! My advice would be, only get married if the girl has lived abroad and has a more western mindset. And it will help in many ways if she is a self-made woman. (for more than one reason) All that is left to say would be: Do YOUR research! And if you have a bad feeling about it all, bail ship ASAP. *On the topic of crazy stories about foreigners and their girlfriends or wives. There a simply too many to write down here now, and this is already longer then I wanted to go for. I might do a video on that myself one day. That might include : *Crazy girl gets a locksmith to open an ex-boyfriend his door. *A guy that got married into a Chinese mob family and got hurt in more than one way. *A guy who's wife kidnapped his son to get her ways. Great video, keep them coming!

Oh boy do I have a story lol. I met this international student back in 2013 and she was extremely hot 🥵. High end model no exaggeration, she literally got invitations from Hermès, Prada, etc to model for events and she majored in fashion so she was quite the eye catching girl with a very charismatic and charming personality. We hit it off and spent the day together and then decided we didn’t want to end it there so she came to my place. It wasn’t just the physical chemistry but we talked for hours and hours about everything imaginable. The next morning I had to go to work so I dropped her off and she wanted me to pick her up after work so I did. She asked me to meet her at the mall in San Francisco to pick her up so I said sure. I get there and she has 10 huge bags of clothes that she bought... for ME! She bought me two Burberry coats, LV shoes, Hermès belt... you get the idea she spent roughly 15k. We spent every day together for a YEAR. She moved in with me and a little after a year we got married. Literally one month after we got married she cheated on me and moved in with another guy lmao. I was shocked 😳 to say the least. There is more craziness but I would have to write a book lmao.

I am not one much for movie quotes when it comes to romance because they always have to get to happy ever after in two hours, but one should heed the well-written words from the 1965 movie Shenandoah taking place in the 1860s. When Sam asked his soon to be father-in-law Charlie Anderson for his daughter's Jennie hand, no more sincere and thoughtful advice was ever said. Charlie Anderson asked, "Do you like her?" Sam replied, "Well, I just said I..." "No, no. You just said you loved her. There's some difference between lovin' and likin'. When I married Jennie's mother, I-I didn't love her - I liked her... I liked her a lot. I liked Martha for at least three years after we were married and then one day it just dawned on me I loved her. I still do... still do. You see, Sam, when you love a woman without likin' her, the night can be long and cold, and contempt comes up with the sun."

I can relate to so many things that you are taking about. I have been torn between what I should do with my on off ex Chinese girlfriend ( i feel so lucky to have been a part of her and her son's life, to me she is a person who I feel is is very smart caring beautiful and who only wants the best for me)( but one of the big main problems is that she is struggling to get to grips with the English language and adapt to my/our Western Way of living) ( also there is some doubt as to how her parents are going to feel about her being with a person like me) and you have helped me come to a decision that I/we need to improve our relationship so that we are much better friends before getting too involved with each other again as so not to hurt each other anymore and find out what we really have in common, as physical attraction is only getting us so far and then when we get into the more in-depth things like standards morals and expectations of each other and cultural differences end up causing at least me a lot of heart ache which I'm now struggling to cope with. So I am going to do my best to have indexed heart to heart conversation with r and C see where we go from here and and is it a case of us just remaining friends and seeing if it can work or if we are just friends or if we need to go our separate ways. I will be honest I am not looking forward to this but I need to do this for my own sanity. Thank you for your insight. If I were in a romantic relationship with a Chinese girl, or any girl for that matter, I would NEVER prioritize any sort of patriotic love I might have for any particular nation over my love for the girl. My love for her would ALWAYS come first. Yet I’ve found the opposite to be true of most of the Chinese women I’ve encountered over the years. They’ve been brainwashed with so much nationalistic fervor from such an early age, that the zealous love and unquestioning devotion they feel toward their country and their Communist government will almost always be stronger than and take precedence over any love they may feel for you. And this is even more likely to be the case if you’re not Caucasian. They’re really not much different than religious extremists in this regard. Suffice to say, I would NEVER ACCEPT playing second fiddle to ANYONE, and especially not to a barbaric, genocidal political power.

Anyone who gets in a serious relationship with a person from a different country has to speak their native language to make things work properly. Unless both have a common language e.g. can communicate fluently in English. Everything else is bs.

I currently live in China and have been here over a year, but I'm dating a Thai girl. She is a better fit for me and my Thai girlfriend's parents and friends are very nice and accepting of me. I can't say the same for Chinese parents. I don't think I will date a Chinese girl. Nothing against Chinese girls, but the cultural differences are too different but at the same time a lot of Chinese girl are following the footsteps of western women.

Dude I approach relationships literally the same way. The problem is: it takes years to find one. I always compare my feelings to if I could manage stay with this person without downsides that would catch up later (so I will have some feelings for a girl, but will sort out girls based on rational thinking). So there has been like 2 girls in these past years that are like you have described, friends I just love being around. But you know the actual downsides to them are their positives. Each of them has a boyfriend for years now. And I am not the kinda guy who steps in between, especially as I have come to like their boyfriends too. So it has been quite a while since I have managed to get into a serious relationship. But I hope that in the end it will pay off. It`s just weird as time flies by, sometimes one can be scared to never find what one does desire.

Interesting. I met a young woman from Hubei province and she was weirdly flirtatious and kind of aggressive too. At least it seemed like it. It wasn't just normal, regular flirting though. Most of the times when I talked to her and there was nobody else in the room, she did weird stuff like putting her feet on the desk, fidget around with her pantyhose and play around with a fly swatter or a piece of bamboo that was used to tie potted plants to, normally. She would hit her palm, or her boots with it and stuff like that. I'm not sure whether I imagined things, but there always seemed this weird dominatrix vibe going on with her. I'm not into that and I was in a relationship at the time, so I didn't try to find out, but it was weird.

@TrangleC4 жыл бұрын
@@youtuber6185 She would have near my ass in the bedroom? Sorry, not sure what you mean with that. I never was in a bedroom with her. The room where I had most of my talks with her was her office. I never even flirted with her. I usually was in her office when I had to wait for one of her bosses to take me somewhere and we just talked about regular stuff, while she gave off those weird vibes I explained in my initial comment, always playing around with a fly swatter or her bamboo stick as if it were a cane and she were getting ready to spank somebody. And no, she wasn't nervous. She was very confident and even a little bitchy at times, interrupting me and stuff like that. She just slowly and seemingly absentmindedly adjusted her pantyhose in a way that would have been clearly seductive if a character in a movie would have done it. I hesitate to say "She clearly tried to seduce me." because I don't want to be presumptuous, but I really don't know how else to interpret her weird behavior.

TrangleC She wanted your sausage, I think you seem a bit naïve or pure. That’s a good thing in a way. But yea, she wanted you
@TrangleC4 жыл бұрын
@@youtuber6185 Hehe, not sure. She probably wanted some kind of sex, but if she wanted "my sausage" or whether she wanted to spank me, or something like that, that is the question. I wouldn't say I'm naive or pure. I was young back then, but not that young. It was the weird dominatrix thing that made me perplexed and made me ignore it. If it would have been regular flirting, I would have known how to handle it.

You think really clearly about all these matters. It seems like you and Vivi have a good marriage. I do think you dismiss romance too much. Your marriage is of the companionate type. It’s based on true friendship. That’s good. There are also good marriages of the romantic type. They’re based on true love. Although it’s rare, some people do find it. When you meet someone whom you have that special romantic compatibility with, it only takes a few days or a few weeks to know. Compared to the companionate type, it’s a somewhat different type of marriage, based on a somewhat different type of compatibility. Both types of marriages contain love and friendship, but the foundation is a little different. Both types can be very good.

Sentinel Among the Ruins Yeah, I think people need to speak more precisely about these matters. It’s important. I might be old-fashioned, but I think you can determine whether you’re romantically compatible with someone without having sex with that person. For me, it’s all about being 100% honest with myself about how I feel. As long as I do that, then I know what I should do. I think many people fail to have that honesty.

i would have to say it is very true about the language problem.. I talk with a few korean girls and i have grown to like a couple of them over time and it is not the only barrier from having a relationship but it is a very large factor.. I will never be able to learn a foreign language its just how my brain is wired and they don't speak english or don't speak it well enough for a full relationship... so in that sense it is sad because as far as it can go is some flirting and friendship
