I am a koenigsegg fan but THIS car is amazing. I cant help myself. What a machine. Congratulations Aston Martin. Styling wise, I feel the front end 'face' design does not quite nail it. Its great but not fantastic. The lights are too small? Some DB design cues from the 50s and 60s perhaps? 007 Aston Martin has something that rivals the great E-type. It is so tricky to build on that heritage. Current jags really come close to E-type design magic but not really really. You need to break the mould but also retain SOMETHING of the mystique and allure from when the brand first made an impact. Especially if it made a huge impact. Aston Martin dash designs of DB9(200'0s) looked so diluted and uninspiring. E-type dash with all those toggles and dials had charisma. There is none of that magic anymore. E36 BMW cockpit, angled at the driver with switches on the ceiling was special. What happened to BMW driver centred approach? Talk about the most bland facias ever nowadays. Competitors with touch screens and digital displays also miss something crucial to driver engagement. Rolls Royce also has no clue if they are coach builders or designing for the owner or the chauffeur. Mercedes LOOKED like Mercedes from a mile off. The S-class from late 90s was a superb iteration incorporating aerodynamics and elegance. Now??? Can u see at a glance it is a merc? Slightly BM'ish. Not only that but C class looks like a miniature S. Worse though is that the S looks like a C class. Sorry. I am having a moment.
