After all that hard work getting the boot floor flat why on earth put seam sealer in the holes? I mean the front wing was shot to bits but was saved not understanding the ethos with the seam sealer in the boot floor. That said what a car looking forward to the next installment

If you are using 3m 8115 (and I’m sure you know coming from the bodyshop world) make sure you bake it one good time (or let it sit out in the sun for a day) otherwise it will swell up where it’s exposed to the face, even if it’s sat and cured for a couple weeks. I found this out many years ago after repairing a bumper with a rip in it. After I primed, prepped and painted it, it looked fantastic. After I baked it, you could see everywhere I used it where it filled a gap. Would also be a good idea if you get some of the 3M sprayable seam sealer, mark off the area so it looks like a textured mat/factory sound deadening and then paint over that. Would hide all of your welds and imperfections plus protect it from any thing that could possibly scratch it.

Panel bond literally held all Saturns together. They even glued the frame rails to the cowl on a lot of cars. Stronger than a weld psi-wise. Shit is incredible. This video perfectly illustrates why body men are so much more "touched" than mechanics. Sanding that front bumper had to suck. Body men are just built different. Good ones like Mike anyway.

@@ElseasWorld Even if you aren't maybe the best bodyman, getting into the crevasses of that bumper just SUCKS. Most would just scuff the smaller spots and pray it doesn't start peeling at 55mph. The willingness to do it correctly is what separates you.👍

Your doing an amazing job Michael. If I had your skills I probably would have welded up that trunk then sanded it down instead of using the sealer. Although it looks 100x better than before, you can still see the fixes. Depends if you are going for as close to perfection or not. Your still doing an amazing job. Keep smashing it!

Twin turbo it, they originally twin turbo'd these engines and put them into airplanes, one airplane even came with the UZ factory in this config.
