If you are using 3m 8115 (and I’m sure you know coming from the bodyshop world) make sure you bake it one good time (or let it sit out in the sun for a day) otherwise it will swell up where it’s exposed to the face, even if it’s sat and cured for a couple weeks. I found this out many years ago after repairing a bumper with a rip in it. After I primed, prepped and painted it, it looked fantastic. After I baked it, you could see everywhere I used it where it filled a gap. Would also be a good idea if you get some of the 3M sprayable seam sealer, mark off the area so it looks like a textured mat/factory sound deadening and then paint over that. Would hide all of your welds and imperfections plus protect it from any thing that could possibly scratch it.

Panel bond literally held all Saturns together. They even glued the frame rails to the cowl on a lot of cars. Stronger than a weld psi-wise. Shit is incredible. This video perfectly illustrates why body men are so much more "touched" than mechanics. Sanding that front bumper had to suck. Body men are just built different. Good ones like Mike anyway.
