Awesome to see Reaper back! Honestly I get what you mean about safe skulls being really strong now. Although dark skul and emperor are beatable, there is pretty little margin for error, so it's much easier to rely on s or weird stuff (piety ghoul, stunlocking minotaur, permaslow yaksha, swap genie/frost) than to always rely on dodging everything perfectly. Archlich is still good, but I feel like the only issue is that damage is all he really does (he doesnt have the safety other skulls have)

FYI Beelz, reaper's passive stacks are only active when you're on reaper so using suoni from your secondary skull would do much less damage as she wouldn't benifit from reaper's passive that way.

Hey Beelz, I don't know if you know. After Kaboom if you hold a direction you have 1 frame in which reaper can move a little in the direction. You can use it to efficiently farm with reaper swaps without bomber killing the enemies. For some reason you have the moving frame only with kaboom and not with the normal explosion.

I FINALLY played this game again, after a fucken age and a half. Managed to beat two more DM levels - up to 4 now - and beat Alexander. Got a win on Herc with a Dizzy/Treasure run and a Fairytale Thor run, with a loss on Lu Bu when I was going for Arms/Strike. Still no luck on Dark Skul yet though, you sure make him look easy lmao. He keeps fucking me over with the 'dash on top of you, wait, dash again then attack' shit. Sneaky little bastard. Today I might allow myself the indulgence of trying the Spartan... Parries, my beloved... Perhaps that will solve my Skul woes.

I’ve been noticing on your last few videos (looking at warrior and finding one execute in the first two acts 😢) that there might be too many items in the game. Blasphemy I know but, I think Skul really needs a way to lock out certain items. Like maybe once an act or maybe a certain amount of times per run you can banish an item so it stops showing up. That still may not fix it since you don’t really see copies all that often in a run but it might help

FYI beelz, oberon is the strongest reaper build. you still get souls from enemies the spirits kill while using reaper and the spirits benifit greatly from the magic attack granted by the souls and you get tons of i-frames from his skills in bossfights while relying on spirits for damage. the game tried to tell you that by giving you sylphid three times in act 1 smh

The one thing I have to give Mage credit for as a new player is his explosion skill, the one you can spam due to the mana mechanic. At least in the beginning parts of my dark mirror runs the explosions do so much damage it's unfair.

17:50 I've ALSO had this issue cropping up! I have NO clue why it keeps happening, as my mod settings aren't set for it. My best guess is that the updates messed with it somehow. Sometimes it works fine? But other times it just... gives me free extra slots. I THINK it mostly happens when getting stuff in the shops specifically, so my guess is it's a mod error in relation to the new updates but specifically in the shops? But I can't 100% confirm that. Definitely weird though. On another topic though, you should do a Fire-focused run! The Arson upgrade at the end is pretty dope. Could even go for good ol' Fire Flask Alchemist for a fire run! Been a while since we were reminded how wild Fire Flask is.

Coming back with a question, I can’t seem to find the answer online. I’m on hard mode level five and I have played countless games by now. Is there a certain point in the game in which you unlock the new legendary’s? I’ve yet to see a new one.

Which new legendarys do you mean? Davy Jones you have to unlock at the Grave Robber NPC who appears in the shop sometimes. Same way you unlock Monkey and Grave Digger skulls. But you might need to unlock a umber of things from him before he shows up as all unlocks are in a flat order. If you mean the new skulls Thor, Spartacus, Guan Yu, King Arthur and Heracles they're a part of the Mythology DLC pack. Once you purchase it you'll be able to select and unlock each one whenever you want, adding them to the overall pool. Reaper, Archlich, Yaksha, Champion and Gambler should be available by default.

Vertebra > Scapula for mega spam builds cuz it scales wayyyy btr if u permanently keep the 35% amp up ( pretty sure Basic Skul can do it ) Scapula is more like chonk your low cd stuff three times then hit the big button for massive dmg, in case of both relatively equal cd alternate and end with the one that slaps harder hehe

I've had a question stuck in my head since yesterdays run: What (non-cheat) build would you go for if your goal was generating the highest single hit damage number you possibly could? I think the new modified inscriptions seriously complicate that question, so I'd be interested to see your answer. ... I may also just want to see big numbers, because big numbers are funny.

Ent, 4 Courage and maaaybe 4 Execute with my opponent at 9% hp or less, for maximum execute boost. Or 4 treasure, but the amp will be less. After that probably a THieves black Steel with the Archer girls legendary or some other combo of big damage. Then it's just a patience game as Ent generates the biggest numbers by far. You just need to survive. But we proved that he can hit in the millions with my last Ent vid.

It's all part of the Dark Mirror. Beat the game once and you unlock it. After that, each time you beat a new difficulty level (from 0-9) you'll unlock a new dark tech machine in the hub area. These machines provide new features for your Dark Mirror runs, like the new shop machines, bone pillars at arachne, more resources etc. Beating level 10 gives you a cosmetic.

It's the Dark Mirror mode which you unlock after beating the game once on Normal. It's how the game wraps up the story and is also the games Hard Mode.

Ghoul or Shield are really good for simple builds that can lead to wins. Build for Antique or Fortress for defense. Revenge on Ghoul helps a lot along with the Piety dark ability. After that they both just need some damage items, courage/arms at level 2 at least will help, any more is good too. If you find the Slime quintessence take it, it'll help a lot.
