The reason for the chatty crows: Crow Babies!

Remember when I was wondering why there was a crow talking up a storm every night? Apparently Crow parents were nesting in that big tree. They have 3 babies! By now they are as big as their parents and are being taught how to get food. The parents stopped feeding them today I think.
Crows like to nest in big trees and build strong nests. After they hatch, they stay in the nest for 30 days. Then they learn to fly and are still being fed for a bit. Until they are big enough to start finding food themselves, which they do together with their parents. Sometimes the babies from previous years are helping the parents raise the young. So I guess that was the group of Crows that were hanging out in that big tree all the time.
The poor babies are really hungry today! I hope they figure out that they have to dig up their own bugs. At least they have their parent with them, so learn how it's done.

Just about 10 days ago they were about half the size of their parents! They are so cute running after their parent 🥹 And the kitties definitely love the show!
