Ha!..cleaning that calf pen brought back memories. Words we hated, when my father would say "time to clean the box stalls, boys". My brother and I would each get one to clean out. Over the weeks we would use the leftover Manger hay to bed them down, so after a few weeks, yup, 8-10" of packed hay and manure. OMG, what a PITA to break that stuff loose with the pitch fork and load it in the spreader. Hahaha. Great memories.......not!

Also, it shows wonderful character to do all you can to help lessen the burden of your absence. In our modern world, the majority of people would just walk away and not care. I think you will miss her bi-weekly postings as much as I will miss them. Grew up on a dairy farm more than 60 years ago. Spent 18 years milking, feeding, cleaning cows as well as working the fields, doing hay, etc... Taylor brings back those wonderful memories and even my wife (of 43 years) enjoys watching Tay's videos. I hope that thousands of additional people will discover her channel. Enjoy your time off and free your mind as much as you can. Here, from november to late april we take 1 week-end off every two weeks. We only come to the farm for A.I breeding or emergencies. That helps a lot to rest our broken bodies hahahaha . Great video as always Taylor

Flirst...I think you are doing a great job/service by taking people behind the scenes and showing what it takes to run a farm. When I was farming we called cow dung "manure" you call it crap. When you refer to heifer cages we called them "box stalls". I guess it is what you are used to. Again, great job

I went down to Texas and visited my son for 3 weeks. My rottweiler had never been away from me but my son needed me. Shortly after I returned and reunited with my best friend he came down with bone cancer and died within a couple of weeks. I have been in complete misery and cannot forgive myself for leaving him. I am still crying and this is nearly October and he died June 3. I am 77 and want to die to be with him. But my wife really gets perturbed when I even mention this sort of stuff. I do know what misery really means. Sorry for this you do good work on the dairy.

Вдобавок искусственное осеменение можно делать намного оперативнее при обнаружении охоты у коровы, чем устраивать случку с быком. И потом искусственное осеменение лучше подходит для селекции-выведения высокоудойных коров если ваша цель молоко и получение дохода от молока
