I know most of you would disagree with me on this, but I wish Wheeljack lived all the way up to TLK, because the way he was killed off was devastating.

Clearly we are gonna get more movies before the 2007 timeline, this Wheeljack we got in ROTB will have a lot of potential hopefully to grow on us and demonstrate some kickass mechtech.... I mean I hope... He didn't do anything in ROTB but at least he had "some" character, BB Wheeljack was just another soldier

@@alobaymar it depends. While the reboot still has some aspects that let us connect it to the Bayverse, they still don't line up very well. But we can say they're aligned well enough the reboot can be prequels. At least untill the next live-action film debunks it, of course. I see Bumblebee (2019), RoTB, TF07, RoTF and DoTM as some sort of aligned movies. As for AoE and TLK, I really can't place them as BUmblebee(2019) has debunked that Bumblebee came to earth during WW2. Though, I think AOE still fits. But in any way, lets keep these to ourselves as we don't want people to get mad because they don't understand.

His death was lowkey devastating. He looked to be this old, experienced, kind autobot just trying to help his young comrades as much as he could. Soundwave and barricade toying around with him was extremely brutal, especially with him falling to the ground and his head rolling off. Yikes. Just one of the many scenes which subtly indicate how grotesquely evil and ruthless this rendition of the decepticons was.

Out of all of the live action Wheeljacks, DOTM Que is my favorite in terms of CHARACTERIZATION AND PERSONALITY. He still has the fundamental parts of Wheeljack in comparison to the others. He isn't a dork like Pablo and he has more personality than in the bumblebee movie.

I will admit DOTM Wheeljack looked better than ROTB Wheeljack. And plus, I liked how he had more gadgets and weapons on him. It's such a shame that was only for the toy to include so many accessories as we never saw him using those in the film. He could've stabbed a few decepticons with his spear or cut their arms off with that hand-held chainsaw his toy had. As for ROTB Wheeljack, I think he only had 2 weak blasters

I have a Mandela effect of Wheeljack fighting in Chicago with a spear once, and I think I sworn there was a scene of him reving up his toolbox chainsaw on to the floor and it drove into a Decepticon protoform, slicing him in half. Weeljack's death in Dark of the Moon hurt me a lot. If he had survived the Battle of Chicago, he would have repaired Optimus and helped the other Autobots in the fight against Galvatron, Lockdown, or in the battle against Hong Kong.

I still call him Que because he refers himself as Que, short for Quartermaster. But I also accept he perhaps used to be Wheeljack, or goes by Wheeljack as a profession

I personally love both designs of Dotm and Rotb. That's because i dont see Wheeljack in them. I see them as Que and Pablo. Separate characters that are supposed to fit a similar lifestyle and personality. They always reuse names for different characters to keep these names trademarked. I see them both as exactly that. It's probably why i like both designs more than others.

Theorymus, there's one detail about Weeljack/Que that you glosses over: Originally, his head was supposed to look like Cristopher Loyd's character Doc Brown from the 'Back to the Future' films before Speilberg came in and asked them to make his head look like Einstein's. The Notes section of his TFWiki page says so.

Bro this isn't much of a good comparison when prime wheeljack was more of a character than bayverse wheeljack was. He hardly has much of a personality if he barely appeared in the 1 film he was in 😅. Cyberverse wheeljack was everything you think bayverse wheeljack was in terms of character writing. You're comparing 2 different interpretations of the same character despite said different interpretation is more fleshed out than the other? You not see the flawvin that comparison? You're comparing a wasted potential character to another version of that same character who was used alot more.

While Wheeljack has done a lot of things in the show, it's not giving anyone the big idea this guy is a scientist because the only thing that gives off that he IS Wheeljack is his design, I mean that's it. Basically another copy-paste warrior. Que on the other hand, while given a short screentime and unique design, gives context to audiences on his business with his character as this quartermaster, without anyone having to dive into any lorebooks like comics and other shows. Show, don't tell. That's how you write characters.

Both aren't aiming for the same interpretation so to compare their executions isn't entirely fair. While one may be aiming to be more faithful, that version is hardly a character. Even when we compare a more faithful wheeljack (cyberverse) to que, the "show don't tell" argument still doesn't work in que's favor as cyberverse wheeljack not only has enough screentime to flesh out his character but we see plenty more of his inventions. Some causing the plots of some episodes to even happen. Meanwhile you have to literally dig into the comics to see what que has done as the most he does to contribute onscreen is giving Sam weapons. OP comparing que to another wheeljack who was not made to be a scientist and is more fleshed out as a character comes off as a rather....desperate attempt to paint que as a well written character when he was anything but that.

It “crosses the line” by actually being a very normal transformer design. Bayverse painted an image of very alien/insect-looking cybertronians up until this point. It’d be hard to look at someone like Bonecrusher and Que, then think that they’re in the same continuity. Just vastly different design themes.

I have 2 points of why I don't really like TF Q, first of all is his hair - if only they change it into fins of antennas that will be better, second is how his head is round but his body is sharp triangular and rectangular - I can't unsee his head just flying above headless body aka they never good match.
