The fact that the seventh is cherished indicates the greatness of the first. What was the unique quality of Abraham? Abraham served G-d with self-sacrifice. “He called out in the Name of G-d, Master of the world”-the sages explain: not “he called out,” but rather “he brought others to call out.”
This self-sacrifice is expected from each of us in the seventh generation. Even if one feels no spiritual strengths within himself, he is nevertheless told: It is not by your own choice that you are the seventh generation-you have the strength by the very fact that you are the seventh. You must realize how cherished you are, and how much has been invested in you. You will then fulfill your part in the mission to draw G-d’s essence into this material world . . .

gemitria encompasses structure, the sacred geometry of the word edifice. written spoken, considered or actual in reference. there is a personality for 7. but 6+1=7 is not the same 7, say as, 3+4=7 is. Although in comparison to the tetris game, if the shape fills the space the level is cleared. the individual elements become the whole shape, as long as they build. Now the question is; are we the eighth generation? & if not, why not? 7 represents completeness. But 8 represents the miraculous. Ie: 8 candles of Chanukah. The Rebbe said “I have done all I can the rest is up to you!” The 7th generation is cherished. The 8th generation must be miraculous & bring the world to a state of miraculous; where the physical nurtures the spiritual. The 8th generation must see Moshiach for this maamar to be B’emet.

@@Y1836Y I’m just trying to make sense of the Rebbe’s teachings. Either the Rebbe was totally wrong about Moshiach, or there’s more to it. If the Rebbe said “the rest is up to you” it seems he was doing away with Chabad needing a Rebbe to continue. Maybe he saw it as unnecessary? Idk. What do u think? But if a thousand years go by it’s illogical to say we r in the same generation cuz there was no new Rebbe lol. That sounds extremely xtian or any messianic group that can’t face reality when their messiah died. It happened in Qumran. Is the Qumran community still in its generation waiting for “Morah Tzedek?” Generations are explained as “Toldos” in Torah. I mean, let’s not get silly here
