Big fan of the LS content. Any recommendations on cam spec for an LS1 with a goal to maintain/increase low to mid range primarily? Not concerned about big peak numbers, or lumpy idles (would like it, but not at the detriment of driveability). I’ve had a VE L77 prior with a 228/243 @ 113 and was a monster, but the drop in torque just of idle, of sorts, not my thing..

how did you go with the ve ss lsa blower? did you have any dramas trying to run flex fuel? and how was the coupler i mentioned? hope it was not the noise you heard later! cheers

u should make a xmember alignment jig up if u drop kfames often half a mm of will throw alignment caster and wheel position out the last person to bolt my kframe in was out of alignment lucky im a builder and down to my half mm with a tape measure from body alignment holes

I didn’t chamfer the cam retainer plate when I did my build. Probably why I found extremely fine metal dust in the oil when I was doing the first oil change 😂

We are now doing diff gears in it (3.46 to 3.9) so may do some road footage after that. As for the VE, that needs a whole episode of its own haha, will put one out on it soon, its been a pain but its nearly done

So a guy is telling me.... You cannot get 420 wheel horsepower out of that motor... When I believe in fact you can... The factory LS6...5.7liter Is very similar to the factory LS1 5.7...liter... I think the only difference is.. Flat top pistons.. And 243 heads... On the LS6 5.7... The LS1 5.7 came with 241 heads.. The LS6 5.7 came from the factory at 420 HP.. I believe at the crank.. In the LS1 5.7.. Came with 350. HP.. Crank... And that's why the LS1 5.7 is very capable at reaching the 420 + hp mark..

Hey mate great video and good results I noticed you said you converted it to ls1 I want to do the same with my 2003 vy v6 ute. I have a complete running 2003 wh ls1 statement would I have everything I need for the conversion and will the pcm/bcm swap over also would I need a tune or will it run normal if everything swaps over.
