It's a lot of transferable skills between games even if legacy skill isn't a factor. Think of moves as tools, you don't need every tool ever invented to fix or build a thing, just like you don't need every move in existence to win. Start with fastest pokes/punishes, find a couple of combo starters/launchers, a low or two, an anti-air, a BnB combo that's easy to do off launchers/starters. If you don't wanna lab, make people lab for you by just picking the character that's annoying and do that one annoying move til you find people who can defend against it, record it, save the replay, w/e, then steal their tech. Also, having regular sparring partners is huge, teach them and/or learn together, iron sharpens iron.

It’s one of those MUs where you haven’t won until Pot is dead. Your zoning is ineffective against him, and 2 Pot Busters is a loss. It is a tightrope walk.

One of the problems with dizzy is that ice sets the opponent's gravity scaling to 100, which means the followup combo gives them a TON of meter and burst. 9:30 look at how much meter you give Sol here.

Yeah I’d love to watch the grind tbh! :) it’s not very often you get to see someone of your caliber, that is still is new enough to the game (in its current state, I mean) that ur gonna be learning and working through how to deal w/ a lot of the same ish that I am, having also just recently came back to the game, and I think a lot of people are in the same boat in that regard :) PS: YES, IK, plenty of streamers learn *new* games on stream.. BUT IMO it’s a LOT easier to get invested, knowing that the person playing ACTUALLY CARES about the outcome of their matches - that they are doing it because THEY THEMSELVES are actually invested in The outcome of their matches, not just as entertainment, or simply to teach others, but because THEY want to become great, because THEY want to prove to themselves that they can do it, that they can be the best.

Imo, it's ideal to be slipping in more WoL if you can find little gaps. There's no cost except for the animation (which is cheap when you've just put them full screen or are willing to take worse oki for it) and it doesn't really matter if it doesn't land. Basically it's just insurance that if you keep your offense up, you will win. I basically always WoL after michael sword or after 2k 2d fish if they aren't already almost dead.
