I love that Travis so clearly remembered the moment. Sam's "You're a child Marisha, a child" gets me every time lol.

@@pixiedust1977 I've checked (C2 ep. 116 by the way for those who were interested) and, hey, you're totally right! I guess Marisha's near hysterical laughter has left such an imprint in my memory, that my mind kinda blended several episodes into one. Good catch!

Matt calls them "basilisks", but they were cockatrices, right? I mean the rest of the crew were calling them "chickens", and they were described as bird-like.
@tibot4228 Жыл бұрын
I seem to recall he refers to them as "cockatrices" at some other point, it was probably a slip of the tongue.
@bskec2177 Жыл бұрын
@@tibot4228 Cockatrices and basilisks both have petrification attacks, and Matts focus on the mechanics may have been responsible for the confusion. I remember watching the stream, and he started with the description, but went back and forth between cockatrice and basilisk several times.
@Peter_Cordes Жыл бұрын
@@tibot4228 Yes, they're definitely Cockatrices, they have a petrify on hit mechanic, not a gaze. (Which wears of after one day, but the PCs didn't know that, nor did the players out of game.). And there are a lot of them with not much health. And yes, Matt did slip up and call them Basilisks at least once, but I think he also called them cockatrices at some point.

I think one creauter was there first but later found that one was not attacking the ship but was running from another creature.
@Peter_Cordes Жыл бұрын
@@jonathansolberg5072 - The small creatures being hunted were the cockatrices, the "chickens". The Chimera was the one big creature with 3 heads (goat, dragon, and lion heads). There were no basilisks, those are reptiles that don't fly.
