The Original Torch is a great character with the potential for some great storytelling! I wish he would appear more often. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding, perhaps they will include some Golden Age heroes (beyond Cap and Namur).

Later, in Submariner Comic #14 the Mad Thinker then drugged and hypnotized Toro into thinking he was the Original Human Torch, and usrd him to attack The Submariner. Near the end of that issue, when he broke free from the Thinker's hold on him, he also seemingly died when he flew into the jet exhaust section of The Thinker"s escape plane. Both The Andro 0:02 id Human Torch and Toro both turned up alive years later. The Android Torch in West Coast Avengers, and Toro in another future Marvel Comic. Great! Also, I meant to type the first Modern Silver Age appearance of the Original Golden Age Human Torch was in FF Annual #4, not FF Annual #6!

This is my opinion but I always found interest in the orginal human torch than Johnny Storm I'm not saying Johnny Storm is a bad character is just the human torch as android is more interesting and is marvel first super hero (and namor) also The torch has a cool sidekick called Toro that is pretty stellar

It was a big blunder to make Johnny Storm a flame character also called the Human Torch. It destroyed any chances of bringing the original character back to popularity. The Submariner, Captain America and the original Human Torch were the big 3 of Timely comics during the golden age of comics. Submariner and CA were brought back to prominence in the Silver Age. But because of Johnny Storm, the original Human Torch would be remain in obscurity. He was brought back, but it wasn't the same as what happened with CA and Submariner.
@Lazrael324 жыл бұрын
@@otakurocklee my understanding was that Stan DID want to bring back the golden age characters but the editors at the time didn't. So he ended up reimagining some of them. The Vision is even reimagined from the golden age one.
@HepCatJack3 жыл бұрын
Marvel couldn't even use Johnny Storm in the FF animated series of 1979 because they were worried of the liability of kids setting themselves on fire to be like Johnny Storm. If the human Torch had been left an Android and Toro a mutant it might have avoided this problem. He was substituted for Herbie the Robot.

The Torch and Toro were part of "All Winners Squad". The Invaders was a make believe comic book created later in the Bronze Marvel universe. Captain America and Buckley survived World War II and were in 1950's comic books for a short time.

Toro in the MCUs universe and with this Jim Hammond the first android called The Original Human Touch but a slight change look and different war set in the Vitamin war alongside the original Ant Man & Wasp with two scientists from a secret agency these to are called Doctors Parker and there's yet another called Peggy Carter and a teenager called Nicholas who is their lab assistant or so they both believe? Toro in this case is a inhuman but he is both mutant and inhuman his powers are slightly different to the comics he can fire flame from his eyes and breath in out space and control fire change it into an appropriate weapon like arrows and spears and erect forces fields of heat or fire and lower his body temperature, he can use solar waves and cold dose not affect him in fact he also can channel cold and heat to get steam he is inhuman so he may have other abilities other than the original or his main powers perhaps control of lava and weather as for that it will be something to discover or return to? MCU/HUMAN TOUCH android, and Toro?

I always found Vision and the original Human Torch origins to be confusing especially when they bought the Human Torch back and he was suppose to be Vision. Tell you the truth I like the theory that Ultron change the Human Torch to Vision the best. The rest just seems like writers just can't make up there minds.
@HepCatJack3 жыл бұрын
I prefer that the original Human Torch be available to be used in stories. Having the Vision being recycled from a discarded prototype of Professor Goettler's Dynamic Man located by Ultron would be better. This leaves the Human Torch and Volton available for modern day stories.
