Ya know, tube talks about all these "makers" like Diresta, etc. But Engels Coach Shop has them beat...no flair, no selfish marketing, just amazing self-less work in repair, restoring wagons from pieces and pictures. Dave's work is second to none.

That little wagon would make an awesome shelf for the gift shop. You could put shelves or cases in it so people could get memorabilia right "off the wagon"

Not sure if these things are on your radar; but they make a desktop "printer" that uses a knife instead of ink to cut out designs on materials. E.g. basal panels for RC plane kits, decals and more relevant to you: Stencils. Using software you can replicate the size and style of the obvious stencils used on the wagon to make your own. Then you would be matching the technic of how the lettering would have been applied (unless it matches an off the shelf stencil - are the odds good for that?).

I am left wondering if this was someone's dream restoration which turned into a nightmare for them, and perhaps for you too? Just one wee thing you said changed how I viewed this today. When you mentioned the request had been for rubber tyres, my ears pricked up. However you came by this, it will be a wonderful addition to your wee museum. I hope, at times you will be able to put a horse to it and have a bit of fun also on special days. I was taught a trick years ago in replicating black carriage paint.....Use matt "Blackboard" paint and cover with layers of gloss varnish. Then, over time, as the layers chip with stones, wear and tear etc..., they do not look like chips as the black layer is always showing. Not sure if the tip will be of use to anyone, but I may as well pass it on as it has stood me in good stead over the years.

As I live in Florida I had to look up Blountstown as I'd never heard of it (only lived in Florida 25 years, don't get out much 🙄) Named after a native American. Wikipedia has a page, it was almost wiped out in 2018 by hurricane. You go to an inordinate amount of work to restore to 'original', copying all the lettering to have actual sizes and shapes before even starting, great work. I'm sure the original manufacturer would be very happy to know the 100 year claim was valid. (or would have been with only minor maintenance)
