Peter and Bruno, you both are wrong. I owned a 2018 Ford Fiësta 1.0 ST-line. And now I own a 2018 Seat Ibiza 1.5 FR. I like the Seat better than the Ford. Even the build quality is better than the Ford. Yes the interior in the Ibiza is made of hard plastics, but it makes less noises then in the Fiësta. Cracking sounds all over. And even a better aftersales services front Seat than with Ford

Kor I totally agree with you I’ve driven the fiesta and corsa and seat 2017+ models and the seat beats all of them by far and ofc if you want more then you’ll have to fork out more on the extras which seat has a good list of deffo the seat packs a punch too 👍🏼

My SEAT Ibiza FR 2018 is a 1.5tsi with 150bhp. It has a 6-gear manual transmission, it has electrical windows in the back. The negatives they had about the car was, that it only had 95bhp, only 5 gears and the manual roll-up windows in the back. If they did not go for the cheapest one, there would be no negatives. :D If you do a review of a car, then get all the equipment too! Show the abilities of the car. You cheap bastards :)

I love the way they have all these extras but talk as if they are standard and slate other cars for not having them. Also comparing higher up engine on one car against a lower engine in another (example the fiesta 125Ps is more expensive than the standard 100 PS engine but they compare that to the basic 95PS engine in the Ibiza which is much cheaper). I have the Ibiza FR with 125ps which was so much cjeaper than the new Fiesta and, having had 3 Fiestas previously, is such a better car in so many ways. I'd highly recommend it.

I got a rare black seat ibiza fr red edition recently, TSI as well and I'm amazed at its performance! 108/110bhp and 130 torque and I really feel the FR in it as well! Especially under premium petrol! Got it for atleast 4 years on finance and very happy with the purchase as it beats even some EcoBoost fiestas for me! 👌🏽

Hi Michele. We totally take your point on this. Basically it was which car we could get our hands on for the reviews, and in some cases that was different between the three. Of course we know which engines/powers/models you can buy across the range, and what we had on the day didn't affect our assessment of each car. i.e. a car wouldn't come second because it had 10 fewer horsepower than another one. Hope that makes sense.

You can also get a better Ibiza with a different engine tune producing 113 BHP and hitting 62 MPH in 9.6 seconds, a 6 speed transmission and disc brakes on all four wheels instead of drum brakes on the back wheels. The FR trim used in this video includes sport suspension and low profile sport tires which make the handling more nimble and responsive in return for sacrificing some comfort. If you ask me then the Ibiza wins by miles.

The Ibiza FR even comes in a 1.5 TSI version with 150bhp. I got one ;) Ofcourse they say the engine is a "Fizzy turbocharged engine", when they go for the weakest and cheapest they could find. :D

I tend to agree with most people's opinions the ibiza is the best all round package motoring journalists get far too carried away by how a car goes around corners the fiesta is just not practical unless you're a jonnie no mates interior build quality is also up too fords usual poor standard the corsa looks a bit dated for long distance travelling the ibiza will be far better to live with these reviews are very short and not very thorough .

I test drove a Fiesta Titanium yesterday and it wasn't that good. The interior design is a mess, the touch screen is mostly white and therefore distracting and looks like an afterthought. The engine was gutless and vibrated and the exterior styling was awkward. It steered well but no better than my current car. I have decided to buy an Ibiza FR 115. Got a good discount via CarWow.

Ecoboost engine wins easy vs any other brand, ford has been trimming this engines since 2011, and the competition just rushed to make 3 cylinder cars 2 years ago. Ecoboost with its cast iron engine and aluminium head, special designed engine exaust ports above the valves reduces de turbo lag to none. Thumps up for the Continental turbos made only for ecoboost, but VW, signed with them last year, making them the 2nd brand to use one of the best designed turbos for small engines. But the timing belt system on ecoboost is far superior to the competition rubber belt inside the engine semi dipped in oil absorbs the vibrations, the crank shaft doesn't have any counter weights and the poly and fly wheel are unbalanced on purpose to counter the engine. Kia,VW group,hyundai, Fiat, either use counter weights on the crank shaft, some use a chain as a timing belt removing the need of maintenance on it but increasing the noise and the effort of the engine making it less fuel efficient.

I still don't understand this UK reviewer Fiesta drivability thing, it's the same in all UK reviews, that Fiesta is the most fun supermini to drive. I've driven this, and the Ibiza, and the Fiesta couldn't hold a candle to the Ibiza, which was immense fun to drive. The previous Fiesta got similar praises from UK reviewers, and in my experience with it, it drove terribly.

I don't get this. We have an 17 Ibiza and got a 18 Fiesta as a courtesy car.....it was awful. Infotainment shocking. Steering vague. Brakes spongy and the seat fabric was scratchy. So happy to get the Ibiza back. I wouldnt have a fiesta. And spec for spec the fiesta is 2k more expensive than the Ibiza. The fiesta is a slightly smoother, quieter drive but that's the only advantage I could find.

Absolute disappointment. The title is misleading says "The Rev Test" I never heard an engine rev I was loooking forward to hearing and seeing the lady's rev up the engines. Further disappointment was the videos have Erin Baker sitting in the backseat and not in the drivers seat this is a complete failure who idea was that? Erin Baker should be in the drivers seat hands down on that.
