We require a rockbass thumb 👍❤

No we don't. It would be a poor imitation in shape only. A Thumb is a Thumb because of the woods used and a RB version would lose everything that makes it unique. It needs to stay high-end.

The thumb and the dolphin are the premiums that will probably never get a rockbass model

A very promising specs. As an asian player, the neck had always been a challenge for me when using Warwicks. I will wait for the asian release and check it out though. So far, i like the looks and the audio on this promo vid.

I’ve been stoked watching these new Rockbasses roll out…til I go try to find literally any of them for sale anywhere. Does Warwick actually intend to make any of these or are they just prototype teases?!

rockbass thumb when?
@DruEllz
@DruEllz 26 күн бұрын
@@metalheadofmordor9169 never, hopefully. It might be the same shape as a Thumb but it wouldn't be anywhere near actually being one. It'd just ruin the legacy of a unique bass. Save up and get a proper one rather than wishing for a cheap imitation.

Why no 35" scale?
@DruEllz
@DruEllz Ай бұрын
@@roadtonever why would you want a 35"? Basses are built that scale to solve a problem. That problem doesn't exist with the way Warwick build.
@roadtonever
@roadtonever Ай бұрын
@@DruEllz So I can tune down a halftone with the same string feel. Unless I pursue some custom string winder which I don't feel is worth it when I can buy a 35" bass and not have to worry. Warwick are nice basses but simple physics dictates how down-tuned strings feel. AFAIK a Rockbass Dark Lord exists so shouldn't be that big a stretch to for Warwick to offer more models with the feature.

@@DruEllz35" scale basses tend to "sing" more. They just have more clarity.
@DruEllz
@DruEllz 28 күн бұрын
@@JVMC_ZR1 yes. I'm saying it's not needed on a Warwick. The way they're built means they get the same clarity and "singing" from a 34 that other manufacturers need to build 35 to achieve.
@DruEllz
@DruEllz 27 күн бұрын
@@roadtonever sorry, didn't see you'd replied. It's not down to string length alone. The physics isn't as simple as that. The low B on a 34" Warwick plays as well, or better, than any 35" bass I've owned or played. That's their whole schtick and why they don't need to build XL scale (apart from the super low F# Dark Lord). Tuning down a semitone won't be any different.

When does Warwick intend to actually have the new Rockbass available? Everything (the *firm* majority) seems to be perpetually "sold out" on your website...kinda makes it tough to be bothered getting excited about any of this.
