G10 uses glass cloth as the fiber material, so while it is very similar to carbon fiber it is not one. This knife looks fantastic for non-permissive environments.

It really would be a good piece for that.

I have a few G-10 tools. I rarely carry them unless I have to go someplace that won’t allow knives. Putting a hole in someone is not something I want to do, and I’m not even sure if I could do it at this point in my SD journey. But I’m still training for it though, because like you said “it’s better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war” Thank you for all the great content!

I love the self awareness in this comment. I’m with you 100%. I don’t know if I could either. I absolutely never want to find out.

I agree.

Thank you for sharing that. I would love to sit down and talk about that. But by sharing this you really help illustrate how bad it can get if you are forced to defend yourself. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this. I would really enjoy the opportunity to have a discussion about your situation if you were willing to do that.

This it what I carry just in case. Here in New Jersey we have a strict NO Self defense law. When I was 16yrs old I was being choked(rear naked) by a grown man on the street, literally twice my size(addicted to meth) as I could feel myself starting to black out I chose to pull out my knife and stab his leg as I felt my life was in danger. I hit his artery by accident and he almost bled to death. We were both arrested. The courts charged me as an adult and I spent the next 7yrs in prison. Meanwhile this man was released on bail for attempted Robbery and was given probation. 20yrs later I always wonder what else I could've done? I've never since been arrested and turned my life around. But always in the back of my mind I fear that scenario and I train for self defense tactics but sometimes the hands might just not be enough to save your life. And I can not own a firearm since I'm a convicted felon. So these (supposedly non lethal) g10 and tactical pens are what I chose to carry.... just in case. I would love to train with this guy from Canada in this video. Thank you

Damn I'm sorry thats really fucked. The original incident, your sentence, and plus being framed for the rest of your life. I would check out the channel Felon with Firearms. He has guides on how to regain firearms rights in each state. I think enough time passed where its worth looking into. I would move to South or Midwest if you can. Just in case it happens again and it would be better to have DAs more sympthatic to self defense cases. Plus more you can carry a wider array of knives. Plus living in the northeast (except NH) you just got to deal with ppl who like to micromanage with legislation and dealing with the ppl that like that way of life.

@Markmygame NJ where I live there is no self defense allowed. If you have a stick in your hand and just say it's for self defense your going to jail. A knife forget it. But you can say it's for work and carry a machete. The only place you can lawfully defend yourself is in your house. I know this better than anyone. When 2 people get into a fight, hand, guns, knives whatever both parties the victim and aggressor go to jail and have to have a pretty damn good lawyer to convince a jury why you didn't run and call the police. I am not exaggerating. You gotta see some of the lawsuits I've come across on record. I don't understand how state laws Trump the constitution either.
