I’m about as left as they come, but after an ambulance bill cost me 2800 bucks this year for a problem doctors couldn’t help, seeing this happen at all does fill me with a little bit of joy for solidarity. I paid for my father in law’s cancer treatment this year, he was a long time conservative and Trump Supporter, I told him if he gave that shit up around me and the rest of my family (who had previously been very divided because of bigotry), I would happily help him out. He’s now thankful he gets more time with his family and I get to see people I love get more time with someone they care for. If this is what unites us, then fuck it, it is what it is.

A lot of these grifters present themselves as either Christian, or as having Judeo-Christian values. As a Christian, I've noticed that North American Christianity is very quick to latch onto figures in media who present themselves as sharing the same values, even if their actions show the exact opposite. When I first saw the stupid clips of Ben "owning the libs" in 2016, I was into it as an 18/19 yr old, but I quickly began to resent everything tied to him and the Daily Wire when I simply filtered everything they said through what the Bible says and saw that plenty of what Ben and friends advocates for is in direct opposition to it.
