Forgiveness and trust are two different things. Forgiveness and reconciliation are not the same. Forgiveness is moving on without carrying a constant grudge against the person who wronged you. Someone wronged me a lot for years. The person is forgiven, but we are not friends, we don't talk to each other, and we have no trust in each other and I hope I don't get to see him again. God says nothing about us having to trust others, he says we must forgive, but that is something else I want no reconciliation. I am afraid of this person, and even if he apologizes, I will still not have contact with him, I will accept the apology, but I will not reconcile with him. Seeing the person, thinking about the person gives me flashbacks and trauma I think it's disgusting and naive and unnatural that Joyce Meyer reconciled with her father. Contradicts all recommendations in mental health research

My mum hurt me deep and so did my biological dad and step dad. My mum is a good mother but I felt she should have treated me better, or would have left my step dad when I told her he was abusing me. But I forgive them all. Not for them but for the word of God. I must obey God, for whatever reason I honor them. They did the best the way they know how. I pray that God makes me a much better person and I pray I turn out well, I would take good care of them. I love them, and that’s from my heart they don’t even need to say sorry. I just have made peace with that situation

Forgiveness does NOT mean reconciliation, especially if it compromises your safety or sanity. Toxic, horrible people rarely change. Most would continue hurting you if they were still in the condition/position to do so.

Thank God I read this. I forgive someone but I don’t trust them.. even if they’re family I wouldn’t want them in my life. I’ve been made to feel bad from other people telling me that then it’s not really forgiveness…. But something inside me still tells me to stay my distance from such people even if I have forgiven them. And that’s what I’ll do…. The only thing I don’t want is bitterness and resentment and to truly forgive in my heart and move on with my life.

See them as hurt people themselves. They were wounded as children . See them as being the way they are , as hard as it was/is , is just what you needed to learn what you need in life. And what you learn , strength, self worth, forgiveness and inner joy despite external difficulties, will make you a beautiful human being. Find love , inner peace and happiness in yourself, God, nature , other people and treat your parents as pawns that helped you get there 😉❤️

Hello and God bless you. Do you have biblical scripture on the deceased in heaven being able to watch us believers here on earth? I hear a lot of people say that and I want to be able to back it up with biblical scripture. I have searched and up to now haven’t found anything. Thank you. ❤

Technically the Bible says when you die, it is like you are sleeping until the coming of Christ. Then he will raise you up from the dead to be taken up to heaven. So, no, our dead in Christ are not watching us from heaven. They are still in the ground waiting for Christ's return when he will raise them from the dead.

@@aliatianna888 How awesome Joyce Meyers life is because she is able to truly live free from... guilt, shame, pain, , condemnation, regret, hatred, bitterness, poison thoughts words and actions, anger and a vicious satanic cycle that had plagued and cursed her family lineage from generation to generation. Sexual rape and incense was what her Dad was born into due to their ancestors being deceived by satan. God freed her family and broke the strangle hold cycle of satan and his evil kingdom of darkness from off Joyce Meyer's family lines, because Joyce chose Gods way. Joyce wanted blessings for her family lines not curses. God is good the devil a.k.a satan is the father of all lies, a thief and murderer who came to steal life, kill life and destroy life but Christ Jesus came, so that all who believe in him might have life and a good life in abundance. Praise and Glory to God for His thoughts and ways that are far above ours.
