I have a theory. Wealthy people tend to travel more so they have more experience with different dialects, accents, etc. so they have had to make themselves understood. Less affluent people tend to stay in one region so they only have to be understood by their area so the accent tends to be a bit heavier.

There's still huge difference in within those societal spheres...someone who started with nothing and built an empire vs someone inheriting a huge business and just knows how to boss people around. And people that are at rock bottom for just unfortunate fate and work hard and climb back up vs poor people that have no desire to advance. Actually am surprised that not more people try to split away from the big group(s). If you know some survival stuff and are fit and able to work for hours towards a goal, why do all the work for others ? I'd find myself a similar minded guy and go duo mission. Build an actual house, stock up and once you two are both fine and dandy, start dealing with the others. Exchange favors, buy their votes to let them sleep in a fire heated room, safe from the wind and rain. You bet that's worth a lot on that island

yeah it does seem a bit hopeless but staying dry is a priority in any situation. being wet makes your skin blister in your boots, causes hotspots where the pack was on your body, and makes you lose heat more rapidly and thus lose energy trying to get it back. that's probably why pacific islanders usually have less coverings, so they dry quicker.

Because Rich can aford to purchase good healty food ingredients and make their own food. While poor often have to resolve to premade sugary, fat foods instead. Like where i live veggis are priced absurdly hig at the moment( and have been for a while now). mean while premade fat foods like meatballs are like 5$ a kilo and a box of macrons are 2$ a kilo. Those meatballs and macarons will make you last a week or more. While they'll keep hunger away, they are extremely unhealty in the long run. And if you can't find a decent paying job, then you'll have to go for the unhealthy food. It's a bit like that thing that went around a few years ago. If a cheesburger at McDonalds is 1$ and a salad is 10$ ofcourse a poor person is gonna go for the 1$ burger. A poor person is gonna have to stretch each dollar they get. While a wealthy person can simply ignore the price because they know they earn enough to no have to worry about money. One of the guys in the rich team even said so himselfe.
