The Right Way To End A Campaign

Our last campaign ended successfully. First, we spent several sessions fighting BBEG’s undead army along with pretty much every ally we met over the previous 3+ years of the campaign. Next, we and a very few of those allies took on BBEG over several more sessions. Came close to a TPK, but managed to close an interplanar portal before BBEG’s evil patron could come through. Yay, we won! Several gods turned up to thank us! We all leveled up! Everybody was happy! Next session, we had a “one year later” conclusion to the campaign. We all met at the tavern where the campaign began, shared what each character had done since the final battle, and got involved in a bar brawl with a band of drunken thugs who we quickly overpowered. Got drunk (in game) and went our separate ways. And then DM asked if we’d be up for an occasional one-shot with these characters. So someday we’ll get to play them again. That was about as good as it gets, I think.

Wait this bit about the Hobbit, around 10:10 is not accurate. Bilbo actually sees Thorin die. Gandalf sends a guy to look for the hobbit in order to get him to his dying friend's side.

Referring to Tolkien without being absolutely pedantic with my words is my fault haha. Bilbo does see Thorin die but he’s doesn’t see him get fatally wounded.

I like the way you speak, its well articulated and you seem to have prepared with a script. Good thumbnail, too. I think you should invest in a better mic asap, though. or find a place to record thats less echo-ey.

Nah, in BOTW, I use ALL my precious items because I know I'll get them back after the end of the game. IYKYK. 😂
