I agree with what you say that much of the West is full of hypocrisy, lies and violence. However, where is the Arab/Muslim world? Mostly ruled by a corrupt militaristic elite - and yes, propped up by western powerhouses. There is precious little effective democracy (a western idea!) or technological, philosophical or political innovation outside of the West. There seems to be more protest in the West against the ongoing holocaust in Gaza than in Jordan or Egypt etc. The same goes for Africa, and Russia. China is advancing technologically, but not socially or politically. Yes, the west is despicable in many respects but at least there is debate, protest and some possibility of movement and change. You're completely correct about debates they almost always become a contest for who the best sales person is. The truth is not won or stolen with slick words... the truth on issues of any compkexity is hard fought and determined over time. The only reasonable way for opposing views on a topic to be weighed is through written forums over a period of time. Most likely done through online forums or correspondence. In this format, you can offer your points/data/evidence and cite your sources for others to evaluate your assertion and the data that lead you there. The sources are crucial because they must be scrutinized to determine whether your source was pertinent, credible, and if the way you represent data from the source is not "coincidentally incorrect" or purposely distorted. Evaluate your opponents stance/take/argument and the sources cited to back that it up... then construct a rebuttal and / or add new data that backs up your position. And basically go back and forth until one sides stance has been picked apart and identified as flawed or bogus. This would take at minimum days, if not weeks. There should be a panel of moderators proven to be credible and as unbiased as possible to reign things in if one or both sides look like their no longer operating in good faith. Sales/marketing representatives acting in the interests of the greediest most selfish among us have been paving the way for destroying this world for too long. If something is worthwhile or essential it doesn't require a sales pitch, just the truth and the integrity to accept it.

Fornication is still a norm in the west but now a DNA test decides who the father is. That was the level of darkness and ignorance that was widespread in the west. The first character to be thoroughly checked is the one that’s claiming others character to be checked and judged. Who is setting the standard by which someone else is being judge by? That should be thoroughly examined before any judgements are being made by anyone. Neither sentiments of “hard work, creativity nor industriousness” automatically lead to prosperity and improvements to all. Those sentiments can just as easily lead to a slave society if pushed upon defenseless groups or nations of people. Just like western colonialism and exploitation of other continents and cultures have been doing for more than half millennia by now. The brutality of this enslavement against humanity is finally being seriously questioned by the planet itself, no less! The way that nature is sending clear signals that most of what we take for granted is soon not going to be available or is utterly depleted by our western-styled civilization is the last warning we are going to get before the foundations for life on this planet is completely lost. All in the name of “hard work, creativity, industriousness, intelligence and good character” that western culture is claiming to be the highest form of virtue. But there’s always someone else that is going to pay the ultimate price for that glorified growth of western values.

And you are right again! We always have to proof to them we are good people. I will never understand why a Turskish person and many Africans need visas to go to the West but Western citizens can just grab their passports and walk to ours. People will argue that the they are bringing money through tourism, well my argument is stop treating all EU countries as a single state. Why should Turkey for instance allow all Baltic nations visa free, what is their population and what tourism are you talking about? Where as Turks and most of the global south have to go through terrible visas application and get denied visas. Honestly, the world is unfair and we need a reset in many areas. I do not understand leaders of countries who offer visas free to countries that impose visas on them. Belarus and Turkey are such examples.

I am a capitalist, democratic, and liberal, but the level of corruption in religion, the market, politics, and government is unsustainable. We live in an oligarchy and are headed toward authoritarianism. We need to get back to the middle path while it is still within reach.

I think there is an over emphasis on debate being the ultimate way to "Prove" ideas. In reality it's a specific skill which not everyone has, you could get the worlds leading expert on a subject, put them under pressure and ask them to answer rapid fire questions on the spot, they would probably fall apart. That doesn't mean that they're any less correct, or that the other person has better ideas, it proves nothing.
