One thing I didn't notice on the first viewing was Samara's response in the hospital interview. She says the same thing in both versions, but they mean different things. "You don't mean to hurt anyone, do you?" "But I do." The first time, it's presented as her apologizing, feeling ashamed of the fact that in spite of her wishes, she does end up hurting people. After Rachel rescues Samara, we see this interview again. This time, "but I do" means "No, I absolutely do mean to hurt people."

I see as either Jason or Leatherface as a Hufflepuff. Both loyal to their families and hard workers too ,fulfilling their murder tasks and with Leatherface helping with the family in ways. And Jason is a great finder. Although 2009 Jason could be Ravenclaw, with all those traps and methods he uses. I think horror villians have more a variety than just Slytherin.

The Ring is one of my all time favorite horror movies, saw it in the cinema when i was 16 and it scared me to death. I had bought a dvd earlier that day and when i came i looked at the tv, looked at the dvd and i just said fuck it and went to bed. The thing that fucked me up (except that fucking creepy opening ( i had not seen any japanese horror at the time so this was all brand new to me) was the funeral when the mom goes i saw her face... that image burned itself into my mind so bad i literally did not sleep well for 2 weeks straight, every night when i turned of the lights i saw that face . Of course i bought the movie the day it came out on dvd and even the menu creeps me out. To this day (im 34 now) i still struggle to watch it alone because my mind ALWAYS go back to that first time i saw it.. With others its a breeze but you will never find me all alone in a dark room watching the ring... i just freak myself out.

Hufflepuff = John Kramer "You might belong in Hufflepuff Where they are just and loyal, Those patient Hufflepuffs are true, And unafraid of toil." Hufflepuffs value "hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play". Dude has cancer and then drives off a cliff, but when he survives he starts building death traps and researching what must have been hundreds if not thousands of people to be potential victi- I mean rehabilitation candidates. He also shows a lot, and maybe too much, loyalty to his lackies, who all break from his code and kill someone even if they followed all the rules of the trap (with the exception of perhaps Dr. Gordon). John is never okay with this and always wants his traps to be "fair" (as much as they can be while still being a Saw trap). Also, in at least 2-3 of the Saw movies that I can think of, not to mention individual traps from others, the whole point of the trials that the main character is going through is to teach patience, like for the movies with SAMF Jeff or Riggs. Also Hufflepuff colors are yellow and black, just to get into some color theory. Chelsea pointed out in the torture episode of the podcast that when John Kramer is being Jigsaw, he is wearing mostly black with some red, but while he's just normal John Kramer, he's usually dressed in yellows.
