I love that HBO put up the extended cuts for free the day Rangs of Power released. Its like... Amazon gave us Egg Noodles and Ketchup, and then HBO rolls out the Fresh-made Spaghetti with Hand Crushed tomato sauce, Asiago Cheese, Meatballs and a fine bottle of Chianti. 😆 Peter Jackson had no buisness being given those films, going by his prior repertoire, and he smacked it out of the park. The worst thing about Xenadriel is that she's basically a watered-down, gender-flipped Fëanor. Fëanor works as a character because we see his arc, and the whole point is that his is a protagonist's journey to villain meant to show the outcome of an "ends justify the means" mindset. He's a good character, even if he's a detestable person (by design). Guyladriel the Barbarian is just a detestable person with a personality very close to Fëanor's, but not only is there no arc to her, but the writers seem to think she's likable and heroic.

Exactly my sentiment, although elves "immortality" is a unique concept asthey never get disease nor age or die of natural cause but they can be slain where they eventually, given enough time, are reborn back into the world having a lack of Illuvatar's gift of true death that was granted to men. They can't die from old age or natural causes. They don't get sick and are not affected by natural elements. During the First and Second Age they are the ones that save the day always. That is an established fact by Tolkien himself. No other race in Middle Earth could face against a Balrog and win. The Elves are the race closest to the Maiar after all. So, the fact that we see Legolas do some incredible feats during the Peter Jackson trilogy, is not outside the realm of possibility for the Elves. But the things that we see in this so call Rings of Power series are insane! Numenoreans are half human and half elves. They are far more than any human, but still less than Elves and so, it makes no sense that Guylandriel is capable of winning against 5 trained elite guards like she did! That scene was so cringe and stupid I slammed my head at the table in front of me! One on one and armed, if we accept that Galadriel was a trained warrior and swordswoman, that would be one thing. Hell two to one I could accept it. But unarmed against 5 trained elite guards? And she simply throw them into the brig? Some of them seemed to walk in by themselves by the way... You can make some incredible things with the Elves, we've seen this with the original trilogy, but for the love of God try to present things that make sense in lore! One Elf, no matter how powerful, cannot win by simply tapping the guards and throw them in a brig! And that move with the horse! What was the point of it? It served no purpose because it didn't make the scene more badass, it made it seem worse than some Bollywood movies I've seen in the past! As for the Orcs... I don't even know where to begin with them...did no one told them that the orcs aren't Sauron's or anyone else's creation but the creation of Morgoth using captured Elves? Did no one told them that Orcs are not vampires or demons from the demon slayer anime that melt when under the sun? That they simply hate the sun and cannot see clearly under the light of the sun? This whole Addar thing is stupid as hell.

I can't get my head around how the woman that plays Galadriel has the nerve to call herself an actress. She can't emote, can't do fight scenes and can't even do a normal conversation. Miriel is usurped in SA 3255 leading to Numenor’s fall in 3319 and Sauron is overthrown in battle with Elendil and Gil-galad in SA 3441. This timeline in RoP is crap. Also, the first mention of Hobbits (and actually specifically Harfoots) in TA 1050 while the Balrog in Moria/Khazadum appears in TA 1980 although it’s been foreshadowed already in the show.

It's possible that the 'dark' images looked ok on their studio quality monitors, which would be situated in a controlled environment light-wise. But they stupidly didn't account for the majority of people watching it on standard equipment. This is not rocket science though, it's a well known thing. Back in my band days we would do the mixing using studio quality equipment, but would do the final listen on a variety of portable stereos because that's how most people would experience it..

(cheeky question, yes, yes there is) massively open space on the surface? what is the pressure like there? by "enclosed space" = a space that allows pressure to build. underwater? yes, the pressure builds. but if all that pressure has somewhere to go (air/sky) it isn't going to reach the critical point.. if for example the space for the pressure to leave is small enough that it can't escape fast enough... BOOM. Volcanoes erupt when the tiny hole at the top is not big enough to release the pressure that builds within it and BOOM. so you see. the show is shit :D

Also, when the Númenóreans charged the settlement, they did so with the rising sun behind them - yet it had already been established that they were coming from the west and had a day's ride (east) until they got there... so the hell is the sun behind them? Actualy when a Craterlake happens to empty into a magma Chamber, it can lead to an explosion. Then again the magma here didnt seem to be under much pressure so i would say: Explosion = maybe, but eruption = probably not.

The scene where Galadriel said she could see the shore an hour earlier before speaking to Isildur was so poorly written. When she said its not visible yet "to your eyes". That was all the audience needed. Instead the treat the audience like idiots and have Isildur ask her if she could already seen it (which they had already established), setting her up to smuggly reply "an hour ago", to remind us again how shes so great. All the had to have her say was that the shore is not visible yet "to your eyes". And people would understand. They spell it out to the audience like its a childrens show.

- This battle is stupid because the setup was stupid. We have no real clues what this "hilt" does or why Adar wants it, does he need it? Why? We don't know what he will do with it. What if they gave him the "hilt" to begin with? It would make more sense rather than risking everyone's life... Instead we have: orcs bad, we fight orcs bad. - In the Two Towers, Saruman doesn't really want to attack Rohan (they are allied with Gondor and Gondor is keeping Sauron's armies in check, preventing him to effectively search for the One Ring) but he really wants the Ring and he firmly believes that one of the Hobbits has it and Rohan is hiding them. They can't bargain with Saruman because they don't have what he is looking for. On the other hand, the Fellowship is effectively acting as bait, to sway the attention away from Frodo and Sam, even more, Gandalf knows that Gondor is weak and can't face the threat of Sauron and Saruman, if Rohan would fall. - See how the motivations shape the stakes of the conflict and everything is already established when the army of the White Hand besieges Helm's Deep, so the viewers can feel the tension and invest themselves in it. In Blings of Prime instead it's a battle over nothing that only has any worth for one of the guys involved, Adar. What happens if they don't fight? Nothing, Karendriel would've sweeped anyway with her army, because they were just around the corner...

Is it normal that I was sincerely hoping that the wolves would eat the dirty hobos hobbits in the last episode, and that "brownwyn" would die of her injuries? And that Galadrrrriel would burn to a crisp when hit by the 1500 degrees F pyroclastic flow ? I don't think that's what the showrunners intended?
