My dissertation study revealed that 94% of women with mother-daughter trauma struggle to trust and maintain relationships with other women. In this episode of Mother-Daughter Trauma Recovery TV, one of my closest friends from 2008-2022, Denise, sat down to dish about our friendship, including how mother-daughter trauma impacted our friendship and how my decision to go “no contact” with my mom resonated with another of her girlfriends. If you’re interested in learning how I friend and how my approach to friendship has evolved over the years, you don't want to miss this video!

Hi, I'm Dr. Dylesia (pronounced dy 👏🏾 lee 👏🏾 see 👏🏾 ya)! I'm a prayer warrior, a complex PTSD survivor, a wife, an identical twin #girlmom, and a mother-daughter trauma recovery expert. As a licensed therapist, I've worked for over a decade to create safe spaces for women to heal their mother-daughter trauma and raise mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy daughters. 💕 This channel takes you behind the scenes of my journey breaking the generational curse of mother-daughter trauma as I partner with my husband to build a trauma-resilient marriage, raise our two daughters with the gentleness, direction, and support I didn't receive from my mom, scale my group mental health practice and career to build generational wealth and impact for my family despite me being a first middle school grad and business owner, and enjoy safe yet all-in and over the top fun friendships with other women! I'll also share loads of insight on how you can strategically heal your mother-daughter trauma and build the life you've always dreamed of but felt too damaged to deserve and too confused to pursue.
