@@parkervanderwoodsen4592 it’s not necessarily “stole”….for example look at Kylie. Her “billionaire” status is nonsense. Much like spears, her name is used to make corporate entities billions. This does NOT mean the person themselves are making BILLIONS. Granted Kris is getting much better deals for her girls(partially due to her ties with her husbands very successful firm from the beginning of her “career”). They use their name much as the music industry uses an artist to sell albums. Just bc a million records get sold doesn’t mean the artist makes a millions. More often than not they make about 11 cents on each album sale. I’m sure some of the money was misappropriated, however, most of the money was mismanagement. Think of it like a drug addict who buys less product than they paid for….at the end of the day they purchased what made them happy at the time not thinking the quick fix would end soon. That is essentially what these bad deals these celebrities make in Hollywood equates to…a shitty deal, BUT A DEAL NONETHELESS

no celebrity fragrance has ever compared to Britney’s. To this day, since I was a middle schooler, I wear Fantasy (the one in the fuchsia bottle) it’s truly amazing, a very strong long lasting sweet scent. I get compliments EVERY time I wear it, from people of all ages, women to men. It’s one of those perfumes I always fall back on even after trying others or high end perfumes, it’s my go-to truly. She changed the game forever ❤️ and every time I manage to find one in stores I buy it in fear that they might be “extinct” in the near future lol.

Rumor has it, but I get why you didn't touch on this, she was probably robbed around 600 millions dollars on those 15 years, by her family and Lou M Taylor (current manager of the Kardashian and other celebs). A year or two before the Free Britney movement helped free her, her team release a financial statements of her fortune, and it was basically 8 millions more than before her breakdown a decade before, around 60 millions, which many thoughts it didn't track because Britney worked NON STOP since 2008. 4 albums plus several compilation, 4 worldwide successful tours, one residency that reshaped Vegas,, and another announced (Domination, which didn't happen), X Factor, merchandise, licensing, the perfume empire. It didn't make sense she wasn't on par with other pop stars of her generation that were working as much as her. I truly believe if Britney wanted to work again, she would be unstoppable, because the fact that the perfumes haven't lost their popularity, tells you that, no matter what, Britney's name still have inmense power. Even my mom love her perfumes.

I have a bottle of curious right now. Fantasy and midnight fantasy are my favorite perfumes from Brit .When her curious perfume first launched back in the early 2000s I begged my mom for a bottle that I got on my birthday and the first bottles looked like vintage perfume and were so beautiful. I still have that first bottle too ♥️

This is a good video. I just have a couple of notes. Britney's perfume in 2004 did over $100 million in sales. Hollywood Reporter says she took home $52 million, which means her cut is significantly higher than the 5%. Also, that $30 million number you mentioned isn't right. In the Brand Sense lawsuit, Brand Sense says their cut is 35% and they're owed $10 million for just ONE fragrance. So that means that the one scent they were cut out, had already made $30 million for that one year or quarter. Given that Britney's own website at one point said she owned 34% of the global celebrity market, it's clear that her sales were significant. There's also a lawsuit between Justin Bieber and Larry Rudolph were Larry confirms that at the time of the lawsuit, Britney's perfume hasdsold more than a billion in sales. Bryan said she owned the brand and while I think he exaggerated about the sales, I do believe based on the 2004 split with Elizabeth Arden, that Britney's cut was significantly higher than the standard 5%. Her wiki page puts the sales in the billions But the lack of information about the perfume and the way Lou Taylor and Jamie were described as doing business with Brand Sense, makes me think the money went directly into an account outside the conservatorship and that none of the perfume money was ever reported.

You sound like you know what you’re talking about, so I won’t correct you, but I would imagine she will get the percentage and then a fee on top of that for her endorsement of the product. It’s not common for a celebrity only to get the percentage, they will get a wage as well. Which would explain why there’s a discrepancy between the percentage amount and the amount that she took home.

I read somewhere that part of the success of Britney's perfumes was down to the fact they were (at least initially) pretty well made considering it was a cash grab and the notes in her fragrances were well considered, which helped their success aside from being endorsed by Britney. I have a few friends who are huge fans of the Fantasy line and they aren't even big Britney fans.

Amazing amazing amazing video!!! I've always been curious (pun intended 🤣) about how the conservatorship affected her cosmetics line and how much money it made vs what she actually got. Super upsetting to hear how she was used as the face of the brand but most likely didn't even get that much money from it. Her fragrances are great though, I've tried Fantasy, Midnight Fantasy, and Curious and they're all incredible! Fantasy is literally the most-complimented perfume I've ever worn, and I wear TONS of perfumes lol. I definitely wanna get more of them, the Jungle Fantasy one looks really good!
