Jeff, I've been a fan since my cousin first played me WALK AMONG US back in 1982, and I've followed all of the solo projects, much like you. Kryst the Conqueror was an odd project, and not much is documented on it. Thank you for your diligent research in all these subjects. I remember seeing photos in some old fanzine (circa 89 or 90) that showed Jerry in his "Mo the Great" getup. It was a cape and a black mask with spikes on it. Back then, I immediately thought of GWAR upon seeing it. Do you have any information (or photos) regarding this outfit and Jerry's inspiration for it? That Doyle Fan Club poster shows Doyle also wearing a cape.

Love the channel, It’s great to find like minded people that have an unhealthy obsession with all things Danzig related. Mine started at 12 years old with 3 of my best friends. We wore Devilock hairstyles to school and Misfits,Samhain, Danzig shirts for every day of the week.Yeah we were dorks but it was fun. I met Glenn and Eerie at a comic book convention in Southern California back in 92-93. They were totally cool and signed our shirts

You know, the only thing I ever knew of the Kryst project was a 1 page ad in Rip magazine.....I saw it and saw that it included members of the Misfits......and that was all I ever knew of it until the internet camr around and then I found out what it was. Ive never heard it, never really felt the desire to hear it, although I might after this post. Ive heard how terrible it was, but I think this came at a time when Jerry and Glenn were battling over the rights to the Misfits..... So looking back it makes sense that Jerry was attempting to do something that was of the time.....had a storyline to it and a level of theatrics......the image was always such a huge aspect to the Misfits, so looking back it makes more sense now, then it did at the time. As a Misifts fan of just about all eras of the band......Ive always said that had it not been for Jerry keeping that image so heavly marketed when thhe band was inactive......we would not have the reunion shows we have gotten all these decades later. Kryst was just another attempt at him keeping himself and others in the spotlight at the time.....which worked out in the long run. Jerry has truly been a very smart marketing director all these years and he should be praised for what Im sure at times seemed to be a never ending uphill battle.

I remember seeing it in a used record store. I had never heard it but it had "featuring member of the Misfits" sticker on it, so me and my friend wrestled over the cassette in the store. I eventually won and bought it. We took it back to my place put it on and were instantly horrified "WTF is this?". My buddy started laughing at me because I was the one who won our fight and bought it and spared him. I sold it back to the store. I don't think it was something I was ready for at the time, but I would probably appreciate now with a more open mind.

SCHWWAAYYYY!!!!! This showed me a WHOLE different side of MYKE! (Not that I knew much about him before) I was just REALLY JADED with him cause if the whole GRAVES drama. I'm sorry, I LOVE GRAVES and the 90's run! Famous is prob my fave 'FITS LP. That and collection 2 were my go to CDs (my bro had the coffin and all the other CDs EL2, WAU, SA, AP. His evilive 2 is actually signed, I typed was... I'm like IS! he wouldn't part with those INSANE to think that we've been listening to that box set since like '96. Hes got the GOOD one qotht he 4 cd single cases and the separate Static Age. Not the 2 double CD cases. My buddy moose had bought the coffin but it wasn't the OG run. I gave my bro my SAMHAIN boxset for birfdaze or a holiday. Now I'm.... DAMN! LMADO! oh well ge loves it just as much!🤘🎸🤘🎸🤘

I remember getting this tape of Kryst the Conqueror either a fan club tape or a tape from a sale from a fanzine back 1986 from a girl , who I love in junior high she knew it was shit too handed it off to me 😂! But you know what I still have that piece of shit tape someone in my garage in my little collection of punk memorabilia. Since I sold all my good stuff to a good friend for the cheap back in 92. Also call seen that being sold on Maximum Rock and Roll too...I pass 😂
