What Happened to Miguel Sano? One the brightest prospects in all of baseball coming out of the Dominican Republic; Sano was a future superstar in MLB. From his incredible rookie season of 2015, the Home Run Derby Finals run in 2017, and the near 500 foot home runs Miguel Sano was a beast in Minnesota... Until everything changed.
Seemingly overnight Sano was left without a team and a Free Agent after numerous injuries and a inexplicable fall in performance. Now he looks to resurrect his career in Los Angeles with the now Shohei Ohtani-less Angels.

Miguel sano was a guy I ALWAYS traded for in franchise mode. I always just mashed with him. One time I had 49 HR with him when he only played ~90 games.

I really got into baseball at the start of the 2019 season, so I had no idea Sano had this sort of reputation early on his career and I just thought he fell off after a really good season that year. I heard of Profar also having similar hype as a prospect and not being able to deliever, but this was really insightful to see him regarded this highly and how skinny he was in the past. Very cool mini-documentary. Hope he cracks the roster as an Angel and succeeds!
