A huge and diverse subfamily of dogs, the bone-crushers patrolled North America for more than thirty million years, before they disappeared in the not-too-distant past. So what happened to the biggest dogs that ever lived?

Thats why dogs bury their bones. In memory of their dead ancestors who had fallen to the cat hordes during the great war.

And eventually developed the most amazing adaptation ever: Convince humans to go to the supermarket for them. That's the real top of the foodchain.

I love how information-dense this is. Feels like so much longer than 10 minutes… so fascinating

This got me thinking about cheetahs, I wonder if they have gone down a evolutionary dead end just relying on speed which can only be kept up for short bursts and the fact that they rarely hold on to their kills due to lack of strength. Their existence seems precarious which is a shame cos I love them

My dog is not allowed to watch this video. Whenever she sees an animal on the TV she tries to attack it. And then proudly struts over to me like she just protected the house when it disappears.

If the host feels silly, worry not! You got a laugh out of me. The cheesy jokes definitely add to the entertainment value. Thanks Eons & hosts! I appreciate your work!

This channel was randomly suggested in me home page, the video was about mammoths. I'm now hooked, I absolutely adore learning about prehistoric animals, and I've genuinely not heard of any in this video. Shows how much I have to learn, and I can't wait. Thank you for your passion and hard work in making these videos and extinct creatures known to us
