This is all so interesting. I have lived I St. George since the late 70's. Never been a Mormon, but joke that I grew up as one. LOL. We used to explore the FLDS community as well. Seeing all of this is so familiar even tho I never have been a part of it.

Totally off topic but I thought you might be interested in reading Zane Grey's Riders Of The Purple Sage, and it's sequel, Rainbow Trail. If you haven't already. They were interesting to read for me because they were written so long ago, when I first read them I thought they were sensationalized or just what used to happen. Since watching your videos I see a lot of similarities to current polygamist cults.

I wonder if Warren is getting his ideas regarding "translated beings" from the same book Chad and Lori Daybell, Jodi Hildebrand and Tim Ballard did? Scary thought. Sam/Melissa: did you see the discussion on this book that John Dehlin did in conjunction with Lauren Matthias and Megan Connor? I am including the KZbin link here. Some of what you have described as prophecy coming from Warren seems eerily similar to this book. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hH6kg2tuhc6UkMU

Translated beings is a doctrine in the mormon church originally with Joseph Smith. It’s not well defined though of who and when it can and cannot happen. It’s not surprising Warren would try to use the concept.

I can see why Jeffs wasn't going to be arrested for polygamy, since none of the marriages were legal. So it makes sense that he would be busted for child molestation. Also hard to believe people still follow him.

One positive about that little girl is that I believe she is out of the FLDS now! When Sam and Melissa interviewed Warren’s son Ammon, I looked his name up and saw a FB post from his sister Rachel. I commented and Ammon liked my post. I was curious and looked at his page and saw he had a friend named Sereena Keate. She looks about the right age, has the unique spelling and uses her mother’s surname and Ammon would be her half brother. One of the Blackmore cousins that was married to Warren also posted on her page. She looked like she was wearing normal “gentile” clothing and seemed to have a boyfriend. No idea if her mom is out too but it made me happy to see that even a child of one of his child brides was able to leave that group.

I’ve heard that recording. I. Sorry, it may have been something that all involved believed was part of a religious blessing but it definitely involved intercourse with a minor girl. It would be smart to make it similar to non sexual blessings in part, so I’m sure it may have sounded similar in wording but there was sex occurring.

I just don't see why polygamy and wire taping was not why he got arrested but for marrying minors which are all illegal I thought. However, I had no clue how much people have zero tolerance for someone under 18 let alone someone 30 marrying a 60 year old man. Also, I think it is kind of mean to older men to arrest them bases on age alone, but perhaps I need more research on a subject I was gladly not taught about in school because it is disturbing. I thought it was just common knowledge that marrying an ugly older person would never happen.

what does the 12 year old say happened
@terryarmstrong85985 ай бұрын
Soon after the 2008 Texas CPS raid on the YFZ property, she said the marriage was not illegal because it was ordained by Heavenly Father (God.) Evidence used at Warren's 2011 trial in San Angelo for the aggravated sexual assault (Texas legal term for rape of a person under 14) of her included family and marriage records kept at YFZ. (FLDS maintained extensive records.)
@terryarmstrong85985 ай бұрын
The most damning piece of evidence on that charge against Warren was an audiotape of their wedding night "sex" in the massive temple at YFZ. The aggravated sexual assault happened in the presence of 12 of Warren's other "wives." All 12 of them were either full sisters or half-sisters of the 12-year old. I was in the courtroom when the audiotape was played and placed in evidence. It was excruciatingly painful to hear. Several of the jurors cried while hearing it, as did some of us in the gallery. I've read comments that say she has left the FLDS, but I haven't been able to track that information to a source I deem as credible. I hope it is true.

@@terryarmstrong8598I have also been so curious to know what happened to the girls that Warren took a child wives. Of course the Blackmore cousins are out. Veda Keate’s daughter is out but I don’t know about Veda herself. But I heard around the time Merril Jessop died that many of his family had relocated to Cedar City, including possibly Merrianne and Ida Vilate.

Why is anyone questioning that the “blessing “ of the girl was not raped. Didn’t that girl in the recording say she was raped during that? We don’t meed anyone else to confirm it, you are doing what others do which is not believing the victim. Your comments make me angry. You are victimizing her again and again! So sad
