I too totally think that Sonic 3 will be the box office winner against that Disney cash-grab movie. Sonic 3: 1. Better casting choices especially getting celebrity actor Keanu Reeves in it to voice Shadow and convincing Jim Carrey to stay as Robotnik. While finally making him look more like the fat Eggman from the games (he wanted to have himself look like that in the movies and so did the public) and him also playing the role of Gerald Robotnik. 2. Having it get inspiration from one of the most popular games in the whole franchise, (Sonic Adventure 2). 3. Better animation and letting the CGI fictional characters have facial expessions instead of having their faces look soo stiff. 4. Doing what's necessary to have the most highly wanted song be getting included into it. (SA2's main theme song "Live and learn") 5. Not removing Shadow's emotional backstory. Sonic 3 is a movie that many people worldwide have wanted the existance of, while that Lion King prequel is a movie that no one asked for and Disney is making it in one of the dumbest ways possible. They're barely even advertising it anymore so they obviously know that they're screwed and won't win against that highly anticipated videogame adaption movie.

Ah but wouldn’t this go to the overly uncanny vibe that turn some people off?
@caseymcdonald971417 күн бұрын
@@BVidwatcher yes and no, as is with how the craft has been going it can be blended together more smoothly since special effects and robotics are both of a physical nature so there's no need to do layering or green screen unless needed for backgrounds and the like, where as with the CGI characters it's easier to mess them up a good example would be hair on an animal or the original sonic design and this gets worse the more accurate or humanoid you go.
@caseymcdonald971417 күн бұрын
@@BVidwatcher also with CGI you have to match real world shadows and shading from natural lights on top of making sure that the model is always on point otherwise it's easier for our brains to call out that "somethings off" and while uncanny valley has become more associated with creepy and unsettling it truly means anything that stands out as "out of place", meanwhile animatronics and the programs to run them are at a point where they are capable of smooth movements if done correctly and prosthetic skin and realistic muscles/ muscle movements can be fine tuned to be close to perfect but still to a point where they match natural twitches and muscle spasms if needed

Live Action One Piece was awful. Making a live action remake of an anime is very disgraceful!
@suntannedduck238817 күн бұрын
Well to me they vary, too much corporate, other creative mindset, pushing big actors or just too safe and pathetic, don't understand the IP, don't care about the IP, too particular on their impression, too particular on safe projects, or just forget the IP already fits a film/tv format already but mess it up further. Sonic live action film 1 (not seen 2 or 3 but I assume they expand on it in better ways for the character or world, not seen Mario but it made more sense to me, showcasing what the IP offers and it's sub series and well the whole he goes into the world we just mostly see the inside the world part, the isekai world he goes into in the games then the always jumping into the world part we don't see as no one cares even the creators) Minecraft just needed to be Steve, Herobrine, the Ender Dragon, Wither, Piglin or whatever. Maybe a world collapsing such as the Farlands or some bacteria mod type thing or glitches in the game say they are playing in a snapshot or something. Anything would be better then what we got of boring teenagers, get rid of that girl she is horrible seriously, oh I hate this place in the trailer then comes around at the end I'm sorry but who are we fooling here? No one. XD It didn't have to be Lego Movie like or certain others just understand the world to build in, survive, explore, mod the game, jump worlds, release versions/snapshots, a almost animator versus animation maybe of going between versions kind of things instead of just windows on their computer, and put a threat/conflict in it somehow. That's a bunch of random ideas in a few seconds/minutes. Not great but still more exciting then the film trailer so far. It's Foamstars all over again, random ideas in a few minutes for modes using foam/the surfboard in how they were used in the game and still better than the actual game with better prototyped ideas for modes, some creatives aren't good enough at thinking about what their works offers of potential and do the bare minimum/copy paste job with tweaks, wow how convincing, not. XD To me Sonic live action 1 is 'passable' but to me just a Santa Claus, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Paddington or ET format movie with Sonic in it and a boring family drama. What a boring movie. It works but format wise is so safe and generic I can't stand it. You put in Stitch or some other character and the film would work either way. I don't go you know what when I think Sonic I think he is a real handful and over excited about the human world. I don't see that in the games even with humans do I? The other movies maybe he are better but the first one was so bad and generic. The later ones I assume he is more 'him' around the other characters not some self insert into a movie anyone could put an over active character into. Let alone abilities or other things that Sonic has in the other films I'd assume. Things like Death Note were so 'lets put OUR western impression on things', aka 'our creative impression as our chance to ruin an IP to be OURs because we can't wait for the chance to make our own we need to ruin it with our own attempt and our vision' (western creatives going but but why do we have to do IPs I want to make my own NOW type people in creative industries suck they are the worst, they can't wait their chance to make other things to then make there own in the future so they ruin other IPs or don't understand the source material, or care) sure but it's garbage when the original already in book/anime form appeals to the west you idiots. XD Death Note and Neo Yokio (even if animation) were so bad of western live action or anime that I'm like who, why, what. Neo Yokio feels like an anime but with a lot of weird western nonsense in it. For a cartoon sure but even if we take the anime studios do make cartoons side of things I'm aware it happens same with Canadian studios do and it's a USA put together story/idea originally. Neo Yokio is just weird. Bur then again you get Halo Legends as an anthology or Mass Effect's anime movie that was..... ok not great, Dragon Age haven't seen that one yet, Animatrix is probably fine, or others and they vary, Star Wars anthology (besides the miniseries of Clone Wars 2003) as well. A lot of interesting takes on things. That or a film/tv show that's too focused on appealing to a film/tv audience when the games already fit that in their own way. What more is there to change. XD It's pathetic. It's either they over complicate things to suit themselves as their own creative minds in the west because it's THEIR adaptation even though the IP already works for the west anyways or else how else did it get popular to offer an adaptation or it's good in the rare times that it is. Like duh. Most times they don't understand the source material, don't care and go eh easy money people will see it, even if it's bad, will see it, it gets talked about it gets attention besides the few that see it/those in a video that take notes. They in the film/tv industry are too competitive and have a grudge even though it's mostly mobile not these console/PC IPs the idiots or they are too creativity minded or too corporate minded more so and too stupid.

people will always enjoy adapting one medium to an other. Its not new. You should look at animated adapting of live action some time. When it comes to acting, we need to stop being stope and go completely uncensored. Don Bluth, Thundercats, Star Wars, Star Trek 2 and 6, police academy, Terminator 2, who framed Rodger rabbit, the owl house, dark crystal, labyrinth, the great mouse detectives, ghostbusters, Hilda, these shows understand that kids can see sex send violence and be fine. We need to face trauma to have a good story. They new the right balance to be awesome. In an era where you can't scare children, can't offend other people and can't sexualize any one aka keep all females covered up and flat chested , acting looses its impact. We need Jessica Rabbit, Judge Doom, Eddie, Rodger. That perfect balance of sex, fear, sorrow, comedy Compared to Gurgi , JarJar, Bliss, Donny the Unicorn, Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, Ghostbusters 2016, who try to do the formula but fail. Or Powerpuff girls, Scooby Doo, next mutation, who go too far or not far enough in there reboots. When you over do sex and violence like in animal house or family guy or do none of it like in live action Disney and live action Nick you disappoint people. Good writing needs a balance, good society needs morals. Good shows need to stay balanced.
