The only way I see him coming back is different: I think he'd be a Bruno replacement in a few years. Eriksen is such a different, class player. Not sure United "replace" him at all except for his roster spot with a different player. I know it's probably a bit of a "hot take", and this comment might get flack; it's just how I see it.

This kid is the answer to United’s midfield. As a midfield defensive player. Exactly what Ten Hag has been pining for with his incessant chasing of Frenkie de Jong. This kid is potentially is better. He’s available on a free in the summer. United should tie him up in January with a pre-contract and sign him in the summer. A midfield of Ugarte and Angel, as a pivots, with Angel as a defensive play-maker, with Kobbie Mainoo playing ahead of him. Height didn’t stop Xavi, Iniesta, David Silva etc. It doesn’t stop Angel, and won’t stop him in the Premier League.

I think he’s exactly what we need at United. Been playing in a deeper role more recently… similar to Kobbie. What a pair of 8’s that would be for United. He’ll be available on a free next summer. I think Casemiro will deploy this season as an 8, or at least he should, and then get sold next summer. Everything seems to be lining up perfectly for Angel to return.

Wasn't the story with Gomes that he wouldn't sign a contract, (for whatever reason, not enough money or guaranteed game time) and that is the reason Ole didn't play him? Which is a shame, he would have cemented his place because at that time Ole kept switching between Lingard and Pereira for attacking midfielder role because both of them were not good enough.

6:05 Being short as an attacking mid, winger or fullback can be advantageous especially if the player is quick, can dribble and is agile. When it comes to player height in relation to their positions, my ideal would be over 6ft for GKs, CBs, DMs, CMs & STs combined with under 6ft fullbacks, wingers and 10s. This gives a nice balance and covers all the bases in my humble opinion.

I remember not having a single clue who he was and then one day he showed up on Fifa and was maybe the best young player in the entire game and all of a sudden every United fan including a bunch of my own mates were talking about him daily but also saying that they'd known about him for years even though this daily talk about the kid started immediately after Fifa came out. it was quite comical.
