To everyone who is a non-Hurrem fan. We are well aware that Hurrem is not a saint, but name me one person in the show, that is? Mahidervan tried to kill Mehmet long before Hurrem wanted to kill Mustafa. The issues before that was Hurrem didn't like it when they discriminated between the boys. They only accepted Mustafa as a prince, but Mahidevran didn't want to let Mehment have the same treatment. She wasn't the only one who had help in the show. This list would be too long if I had listed everyone one who had help, so here is a few: Nigar would have been killed if it had been for Hurrem, Ibrahim, and Hatice. Mahidervan had her son, Sulaiman, all of Sulaiman's sisters, Valide, and all the same people who served Hurrem(but I guess we forgot about that). Selim had Hurrem and his sister at one point protecting him, including Celia(forgot her new name). If anyone wants to question me, on that feel free.

Fr like this isn't a fairy tail people kill to survive there, not to mention Hurrem is not the bad guy on the show, she's been fair to the innocent's, poor and weaklings not like Valide, Hatice, Ibrahim and Mahidevran, who use the innocents and weaks for their evil plans.

Also remember in the scene where Suleiman was fighting with his sister Fatma, he told her, that he knew hurrem wasn’t innocent. But that hurrem has something none of his sisters, or anyone else had. And it was loyalty. He then said Hurrem never imagined anyone else sitting on his throne, even while he was sick and some thought he might die. Meanwhile mahidevran, and his sisters were all planning to put Mustafa on the throne even while Suleiman was dying.

For the record there was never a Princess and I'm not sure but I don't think there is a record of Hurrem killing anyone only rumors or guesses. I would excuse her on Mustafa because unlike in the series he did rebel and it was either him or her kids. On Pargali he did it to himself when he though he was bigger than his Sultan and said he would tame him....

@@Kurczak00 It's a little tricky since the best estimate for Hürrem's origins is from Ruthenia, which included many different nations, including parts of Russia and Ukraine, and was, at that time, under the rule of the Polish king. It's not helped either that a Venetian ambassador (Pietro Bragadin) decided to call her "of Russian origin", although, given how these ambassadors could get facts wrong I don't think that's concrete proof of her actually _being_ Russian. It's why, though, that I tend to say that our best bet is for her being Eastern European rather than pointing to any single nationality. (Sorry, this got longer than expected!)

I don’t believe she was Russian, mostly because some politicians even today can’t distinguish between e.g. Polish and Russian origin, not to mention some nuances like Belarusian or Ukrainian (which really offends me as a Polish person, to be honest, I hate being called Russian on holidays abroad - come on, Polish people even LOOK differently). They hear a Slavic-sounding language and this is enough. 😉 I think the most probable explanation of Hurrem’s origin, basing on a fact she grew up in the village in the Kingdom of Poland, and unlike most of Polish people those times, she was an orthodox, not a catholic, is her being Ukrainian or Polish-Ukrainian. She might also be Ruthenian, but this matter is a bit more complicated for me, as it’s hard to point the specific nationality of Ruthenian people.
