Yikes. As a practicing pagan and witch I find this report to be pretty cringey. Something I would have expected in the 90s when The Craft came out. Instead of spending your time commenting, why don't you do some research instead of basing your opinion on really inaccurate dramatizations in movies? I recommend that you do some reading or at least watch videos from informed sources about "kitchen witches" and "green witches", which is the path I'm studying. My life for decades has been about organically growing herbs, flowers, fruits, and vegetables in sustainable ways, and fighting to preserve the environment. I can't see why on earth anyone would want to *eradicate me for those things. I don't eat meat or wear leather because I value animal life, and I take public transportation rather than drive a car, because it's better for the environment. Nearly all magic is about people trying to improve their own lives, and not about hurting anyone else. New witches are warned early and often that using harmful magic against anyone else is a bad idea, and will come back to them times 3. I have never attempted to harm anyone else through magic. If I ever did, it would be as a way of paying back someone who had done an incredibly harmful thing to me, like rape. I'm a disabled senior citizen who could really use a little magic to improve my life.

@@greeneyedlady5580 I totally agree with everything you've said, and I am an herbalist myself, but please be careful when you talk about witches believing that things will come back to them "times 3", as that is a Wiccan belief, not a belief that is shared by all witches. I practice Traditional Witchcraft, and although I don't practice baneful magick as a rule, I certainly know how (which is important to know as a witch), and I don't believe that anything comes back to you a specific amount of times. I do, however, believe that the magick we practice moves through us, and when practicing baneful magick, some of it will stay with you and change you. I just like people to remember that there are a LOT of witches that don't identify as Wiccan, and not all of us believe the same things. :)

Witchcraft is a magical practice, not a religion. Wicca, for example, is a religion around witchcraft. You can practice witchcraft and not be a Wiccan. I know several Christians who incorporate witchcraft into their belief, just as I know plenty of atheists who do the same.

I was raised Christian, but choose to identify as simply having a relationship with Christ. I have incorporated some witch-like practices in my life such as smudging and intention burning rituals. Sometimes I call on the protection of Archangels. I even have a deck of fairy oracle cards I use every once in a while. You could say I’m “cherry picking”, but generally I believe in a higher power, in respecting nature and all its resources, and the possibility that there are realms beyond our comprehension that host magical beings. You never truly know what’s out there and that’s totally fine, but as of now I chose to partake in things that make me feel at peace.

i notice a lot of women drawn to witchcraft are not exactly the best looking in their social circle. There's a reason for that. Its called a stiff necked attitude or one of abstinence. The natural solution to their problem is to get fit but they refuse, stay obese, look at food as their companion and consoler, in short, refuse to change their bad habits that got them to that obese state. They're a little angry inside. They find a way of exerting power over others and this entices them. Witches today are like the incel men of today in many respects. Having this knowledge of how to prevent conception was a real problem to the church of old. So they labeled them satanical, aligned with evil forces. Witches of Old were hunted down and destroyed in unmentionable ways. This knowledge was pushed underground pass from women to women of many cultures. There are those who know this but they are few and far between. This is an excellent example of the "Dark Ages". To undermine knowledge that had taken hundred's of years to acquire by these women denied the human race. It is clear to see where evil has it's roots. Women bare the future of mankind, suffer the most during conflict and much unnecessary pressure's are put on women. All people are equal but women are still treated as less than equal. When ou honestly think about it, what spiritual practices promise you something so great? The answer is none. The devil can't even promise you anything because he cares for about receiving as many people and keeping them far from God. This is how much he hatss us. People think that the devil is red with horns and a tail but the fact is he was the angel of light in heaven and music was a big thing for him too. The reason he got kicked out of heaven along with the many angels that followed him was because he wanted to be like God. He wanted the throne of God but God created everything including the devil and his angels. Think about it, how would you like someone to take credit for something you created and claim it as their own. You'd be mad and that's how God felt and that's why he locked the devil out. Now the devil has been busy for thousands of years deceing and teaching people the wrong things to keep them from heaven. He uses music, money, lust, magic, anything not of God and he makes it look so innocent and beautiful because after all he is beautiful not red with horns. It's easy to turn down something that looks nasty and bad but its hard to turn down something that looks beautiful and inviting. That's why so many people fall to these receptions everyday. They don't recognize that its the devil doing his work. For example crystals and tarot cards look so pretty its hard to see that they are actually demonic and used to invite demons into your life. So trust me when I say this, there is no good magic of any kind. Please don't go any further into witchcraft because those temporary pleasures will only hurt you and not help. I would know because I was a witch for 7 years and suffered. Miracles and answers to your life problems come from God alone. His promises are real and guaranteed.
