Most people simply think they are being kind when supporting the trans movement, but as the video shows, this issue is complicated and blindly supporting it is often far from kind. I really don't know how we get this message out more widely, but videos like this really do help. While gay does not equal trans it's a fact that many gays DO feel uncomfortable in their bodies as children and for some this continues into adulthood even for people who consider themselves gay not trans. Today I had to pick a video to share with a family who benefits from self id laws. I tried to talk them over time but they fobbed me off, like i was fussing for no reason. Eventually, they agreed to let me present an opposing view. I’m working on a video series which includes interviews already filmed with this person. It’s a bigger picture project. But before I hit them with my take on it, again, I knew I needed to warm them up to it. They agreed I could send a clip, to ponder, and I told them I expect a response to the points made in it & discussion about it, (which may be recorded ) and gave them a timeline of a week. Like homework. So they couldn’t put it off. I told them I loved them and that it’s my duty to point out the snake on the path they are about to walk down. THANK YOU. I needed this clip. This is perfect timing. Perfectly said! Captures it all and shows the seriousness! Truth is, I sent after watching for 1 min, thinking it’ll do. I figured it’s GenSpect so I know it will be respectful. After I sent it to my loved one, I watched it and felt hope, for the first time in a while, that they might actually listen!! My family member, who agreed to let me send an opposing view, to the advocate position they have on trans matters, first, ghosted me, then stated they didn’t want to talk publicly with me for fear of backlash. This person has done 2 interviews with me already (unpublished), and agreed to more (cuz was planning a series, cuz complex topic). I have also been on their public tv program in past, and asked if they’d be on mine. I was open ahead of time it would be controversial. Everything in this Video, headlined everything I raised in out last 2hr interview, so no surprise in content for them. Yes they are already a public trans advocate 10+ in Victoria AUS. I got a bit of backlash since I sent that. Told I’m fussing about nothing. That I’m looking at too much anti trans propaganda, blah blah and to just be kind. I’ve been shunned, for politely asking some difficult question. Im hurt, I feel unheard, I feel shamed for saying anything, and feel shame for not saying enough. I’m isolated cuz of work & now isolated from family. I joined X recently in hope I could learn courage from others cuz it’s hard to find it in a room full of people you know & love, all shutting you down with snarky comebacks, eye rolling and ridicule and threats that if I speak it it will ‘cause harm to someone I’m supposed to love’. To consider my actions, meaning do the action they decide!!. I wish I could tell my story without implicating them, but their life does impact mine. That’s confusing to me. They are on Channel 31 every fortnight, in Melbourne, talking trans, invited to international women’s day events & is even on a recent Vic Ad. And I am expected to shut up. I was quiet. I said I had concerns. Please someone tell me.. am I mean for indicating who my loved one might be? If I named them, does that make me mean? I’m genuinely struggling. @@TheArchiveofEvidence I'm very sorry to hear that. I have the same problem in my family, but it's just one family member, and she is in the same city as me. My other two siblings are in different cities but they don't believe me when I tell them that my sibling who supports all of this nonsense becomes abusive if I object. I'm more concerned about her 13yr old. That's why I keep alerting her about what's happening in the schools. She doesn't want to hear because she is an avid Guardian reader (left wing broadsheet in UK). I only see her every few months and her life is a mess. She isn't an activist or anything but she is not teaching her child properly, it's like she is leaving that to the school and the culture. She was always seen as the selfish one in the family. I have two gay friends who don't like any of it either. They are intelligent enough to understand that none of it was about the gay community in the first place. My sister is full of tension and anxiety and is also constantly going on about climate change and the so called far right. It's like the Guardian newspaper is driving her crazy and her child is getting it at school. The only 2 outcomes I see for the children, is a narcissistic survival of the fittest attitude or mental illness. I'm upset about what's happening innocent children. I pray a lot for the children of my country and my sister and her child. I have had prayers answered in an almost miraculous way for a young person who did a 180 degree uturn as they were going to transition. They dropped it all without me ever saying anything to them on the matter. We are fighting a great darkness and we can only pray, I know my prayers will be answered but I have to persevere through the suffering from her abuse. In fact I learned these sort of prayers are the most efficacious. I hope your family can accept and respect what you are telling them, I know how you feel. God Bless you.

This is very clear. A succinct description of almost all that is transgenderism. A standout for me is that it might give the wrong impression on one point. This video says full transition surgery is very expensive - $100,000. Pro-trans adovcates plead that this makes it unaffordable and there needs to be more funding for it. Pro-trans advocates who I know have said this is why 90% of mtf retain the male genitalia - i.e. because they can't afford it. Yet, while the medical and pharmaceutical companies definitley do make massive income form trans medicine, in reality trans surgery in most western countries is paid for by NHS/Medicare; several NATO and non-NATO forces provide it free to serving personnel; and it is covered by most private insurance companies. In France it is free. (I even heard it said on a mostly pro-trans discussion channel that it was readily available and affordable these days.) It would be good to include something about this - if even to say that 90% of blokes who claim to be women choose to keep their tackle.

Can you be more specific? It seems to me that there is excellent discipline in staying on topic here, with no unnecessary references to unrelated political issues. Some of the sources used are stigmatized as right-wing, but there aren't very many other sources willing to say these things. To avoid them would be a kind of circular logic.
