I got run down in a paddock by a RNZAF Aermacchi once. I could look right into the cockpit and the pilots eyes. Before the pilot directed the Aermacchi towards a Macrocarpa and missed the tree tops by 50 feet. I bet that part of the flight plan was never reported to anyone. Would have taken out a couple of houses easily if the wing had hit that tree. When fortunately this was farm land

Beautiful location, but would have been so much better if they could have flown in combat aircraft like Gripen, F16, heck, even a recent generation light attack equiped BAE Hawk would be better than nothing
