@@bhagvedsingh2147 Unfortunately the writing is on the wall. Observe the demise of the DTM- from beautiful singing V8s to poofy little whooshy turbo shitters. The eco-fucks have pushed their agenda to the detriment of ALL motorsport- little do they realise that the point of IC engine development is to make them orders of magnitude more efficient than the road-going versions... but since when did anyone with a fucking agenda to push care in the slightest about the facts... So yea; enjoy the real engines for now, because your kids or grsndkids will be cheering on little eco-cars, or 'leccy sewing machines, that's if they can even be bothered showing any interest in such a sanitized sport at all...

Interesting to learn about the keyway lifters and the needle bearings for the camshaft!
@OgamiItto704 жыл бұрын
I thought it was interesting that they're using Ford Boss 302 (new-style) blocks. That roller cam and those keyway lifters were pretty interesting, too, though. Actually, I kind of wonder why they're not using a Coyote variant. That Nissan they used to run was a DOHC 4-valve. Why do they have to make do with a 2-valve pushrod motor?

The throttle plates in that position will give better response, tricky part is avoiding the backfires when the pit lane limiter is on. Best to kill two cylinders constantly than individually or you might flame that intake and stall. Also found a roughing on the short radius will improve respose and limits reverberation below the torque band. Looking pretty good

It great that you are doing such a deep dive into what makes up these engines and cars as I am sure a lot of people out there have no appreciation for the behind the scenes stuff. They just watch thr aces and probably think these are pretty basic V8s with over the counter bits to make them go. So please keep up this level of detail it fantastic. I wonder how much turbulence is inside the intake with the various runners, after all on a dyno is one thing, but when you have 160 miles per hour air coming into the air intake, that's a totaly different configuration and also the outside temps are going to make a totaly different HP, but your right if you can make the right amount of HP right through the max rev range and gears set to each track then you have a quick race car is all the settings are spot on for each track and now you have a totaly different set up to the nissan, its going to be a lot of testing on tracks and then hope for the best during the race, tyres are going to be a big issue and also the cars totaly aero and downforce front and rear. good luck to the kelly race team kick some buts out there. cheers and go Holden. :) PS if there's a problem with the intake i hope you will make a system which lets you take it off and replace one in less than 30 minutes. :)

Love the part about the trumpets are they something that’s you are aloud to change from track to track as well like a technical street circuit you might use something longer and say like Bathurst with the very long straights where you might want abit more top end go shorter ? Amd even the difference between drivers styles and what suits their different technics Or once your picked a length and and it’s been commissioned for racing is that it that length has to stay with that engine ? I love all that small little technical part of engines it’s all about the 1% gains here and there 🤟🏻👌🏻
