I was groomed for years by a man on Roblox who was a very professional developer. I was also groomed by ANOTHER man on Roblox, who actually had created one of the first Roblox groups on the site, and was, and still is, insanely highly respected and well known on the platform. Most of it occurred off-platform (on Discord), so even if I WANTED to do anything, they'd just claim the BS that they did in the Twitter DMs. Roblox is seriously a sickening and detrimental place, and this video proves it. I was harassed in a group chat with 5 people in it all blaming me and telling me it was my fault that I got groomed and that if I spoke out they'd put me in jail. Roblox will never do anything to help me. I can't overstate how dangerous it really truly is; And paired with a management team like that, I, and so many other children, will never get justice.

I've been around in the Roblox community for more than a decade now... I know that sounds crazy, and it is. I don't know why I love this platform so much when at it's core, it's just a silly Lego clone. I often contemplate if I should just abandon the platform or stay with it when it inevitably plummets into the ground, because that's what will happen to Roblox if they continue down this path of greed and ignorance. This game has sixteen years of history and it could all be over in an instant. I know that a majority of people could care less, and I get that. But it means a lot to me and so many other people.

As someone who was pretty active in a Roblox group a few years ago and still am friends with a few people that are active in side community, it's pretty horrendous what goes on in Roblox discord servers, from owners asking girls of all ages(mostly 13 to 20) for nudes and other things of that nature in exchange for a higher ranking role in the group, pure racism not even just "memes or jokes" just people full on hating poc,homophobia and transphobia (again same as before), doxing,threatening, gore, c.p and much more. Roblox really doesn't do shit to keep it's users safe as most of the activitys are outside of Roblox. Also there is a MASSIVE issue in the roblox community when it comes to exploitation of work, I know a few people that have made amazing map/models/asset/scripts and never once got paid by group owners + roblox takes 70% of revenues from games

here's a hot take on roblox, since i've been playing for years. most of the games are just robux or content farms to make the front page, but when you find a good game in the rough, it's usually a fantastic one. thing is, every one of those games is made by an individual developer, not working for roblox. i'll continue to play roblox, and support good game devs, like the creator of doors, yba, aut, and many others, but i refuse to support the corporation running the platform. they are corrupt, and would rather sweep everything under the rug and sue people into silence than actually take action on their site

*QUICK STORY: Had a RPG friend I met on ROBLOX, then added on discord, it went from friendly chat to the guy sending me a JOJO risque gif to saying he hopes i contract THE BIG C because he 'needed to vent' we even told eachother the states we were in in the roblox chat on the site itself, no hashtags. Freak.
