They have a new model demonstrated at a product fair that looks quite different. I'm liking the swivel front tires on this model opposed to the type that the Luba has. Our yards are flat so we don't need 4WD. Someone said their Luba chews up the corners where it does its turns. The new RoboUP actually steers like a car which limits the turning radius. I think the model shown in this video can turn tighter because it turns by reversing one tire. Great review. Thanks.

This model works very well, it has the odd mishap but I think that is the nature of our garden with some hidden ditches and holes etc but once set up it just keeps going.

Das Gerät hat eine extrem schlechte Software. Auch die APP ist ganz einfach gesagt "Sche..." sorry. Da ist alles so widersprüchlich. Das Teil fährt sinnlos kreuz und quer, 5 Minuten, bis er endlich mal beginnt Bahnen zu mähen. Aber wie hoch mäht er ? An drei Positionen lässt sich die Höhe einstellen. Er mäht aber einfach wie hoch weiss keiner. Einzig beim Punktmähen ist die Höhe Korrekt. Was gänzlich fehlt ist eine Handsteuerung wo auch das Mähwerk läuft. Alles nur Mist. Das teuerste und das dümmste Gerät das ich je hatte. Jeder Putzroboter ist schlauer. Ach ja, der hat ja künstliche Intelligenz..das gbt es nur nicht. Alles was der kann wurde von Menschenhand programmiert... Kaufen sie einen Handrasenmäher, dann haben sie am Schluss einen "englischen Rasen!

I sort of agree - turned it on today and it was just randomly going around the garden, not mowing and just kept returning to base. I think I need to get updated firmware for sure.

It's here too (the heat)......thunderstorm last night and a bit of rain....but by mid day today back up to 28C and sun with a few odd clouds....I am sweating buckets and all I did was use a long (extendable electric chain saw) by Husquvarna......if you have not gone electric you should try it.......we are all electric chainsaws now......only things we need petrol for are a plate vibrator like yours, that is getting a bit long in the tooth (8 years - Sheppach) and will be replaced with a diesel.......and my pressure washer....(Chinese - but has worked fine)....it will take the paint off anything if you are not careful.....I may try one of those Chinese again pressure washers that are hand held and use drill type batteries.....I will be well chuffed if someone like Makita or Milwaukee makes one.

We are under heat warnings now, 37 today and it is supposed to hit 41 tomorrow... not much work outside going on. I only have Makita tools for outside, trimmer, hedge cutter. the Stihl and Husquvana stuff is still too pricey for me - my son just bought the still battery stuff and is happy with it.

I know it is taking a chance with the high prices of Husquvarna etc......but I am honestly getting 3 times the life out of these products, that I would have from some indigenous/lesser makes.....and it's not just that...take Husquvarna battery powered strimmers....the motor is down at the head, so there is none of that vibration and weight from shaft drive.....Early on here I bought local Polish made strimmers...and yes they worked well....at first....then they started to vibrate.(enough that you had to stop because your hands went numb)..then had to be taken apart every year and the carbs dismantled and cleaned or they would be beggars to start.......with electric there is none of that...(its not that I'm lazy, I like 'tinkering' but not having to do it gives me time for other projects.@@HomesteadingUncontained

See that lovely gate of yours....4 bar gate....??? I have showed plans for a real English 5 bar gate to so many really good woodworkers here in Poland and they are all scared to take it on.....they all do the sucking air through their teeth and say it is beyond their capabilities....It is not but they have never seen a real 5 Bar gate made with dowels and not screwed or nailed....I have had the hinges for my gate for about 12 years now...and I have installed the gate posts, still waiting for someone who could make the gates.

This is all lap jointed, I have another ready to put together for the chickens "inner" keep. I quite like making gates but the traditional English 5 bar has tapered horizontals to keep the weight down, that becomes more tricky to do.....

Tell us about it - about a year ago, the local quarry overdid the explosives and rocks tumbled down to our village missed two house by inches - closed the road for weeks. So now they are doing it manually with a big jack hammer excavator.....pain the arse for sure.

Tell us about it - local quarry used a bit too much explosive and brought the mountain down, missing a coupe of the houses in the village by inches (boulders the size of a car), we witnessed it as we were in the garden. So now they have to do it all manually using a massive jack hammer 12 hours a day....such a pain.

Wenn der Mäher nur umher irrt, liegt das zu 99% daran, dass das RTK Modul schlechten empfang hat, also ein rotes ! statt den grünen Haken. Nach fast endlosem Mailverkehr mit dem Hersteller und suchen nach einem besseren Standort, mäht er jetzt endlich gut.

Das ist eine gute Nachricht - ich habe die gleichen Probleme. Es scheint nur in einer Schleife zu laufen und geht zurück zur Basis, ohne auch nur zu versuchen zu schneiden. Ich habe irgendwie aufgegeben mit ihm.

It is still working well - we have found that it does get a little confused with random long strands of grass (weeds) but it does say you need to cut it to one level to begin with but some of our weeds grow very fast. But I am happy we have it as we have not used the "real" mower for 4 months now.
