Lancelot ends up falling in love with King Arthur’s wife, and this to the two fighting. And that leads to the Knights of the Roundtable falling apart. So you could possibly view Lancelot as an antagonist.

Hate to be that fact checking guy, but *pushes up glasses* Edge vs Christian fought on Raw in May 2010 from Toronto, Canada. I remember it because Christian had been back in WWE for well over a year and the first time we see them in the ring was shortly after Edge turned heel again post WM 26 (pointless heel turn imo) and I was annoyed cause I'd have rather seen them as friends rather than enemies again. It was a good match and we would get their reunion in early 2011

Gotta admit the way Zane did the loophole thing in his own rules was clever. I got this dvd from a co-worker some time ago and breezed through it one day. I didn't have a lot of context for the show at the time, but it was an easy fun watch. This recap with the Invasion stuff more fresh in my mind was enjoyable to see reviewed. These non-canon glorified house shows really can be a lot of fun in the right context.

Thank you for reviewing Rebellion, Zane. With Survivor Series coming up next, here are four things you should mention: 1.There was supposed to be a unification match between Tajiri and X-Pac for both the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship and the WCW Cruiserweight Championship, but X-Pac was injured about a few weeks before the pay-per-view, so the match was scrapped. As a result, the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship was retired, while the WCW Cruiserweight Championship was renamed the WWF/WWE Cruiserweight Championship. 2.In the Sunday Night Heat match, Raven, Lance Storm, and Justin Credible (with Terri) defeated Albert, Scotty 2 Hotty, and Spike Dudley. Five of the participants in this match went on to compete in the Immunity Battle Royal on the main PPV. 3.This marks the final WWF PPV appearance for Debra, who will stick around until June 2002 before leaving alongside Austin. 4.NWA legend Wahoo McDaniel was in attendance.

The Invasion story didn't just waste WCW, it completely broke the flow of everything in the WWF. It's like a confusing recreation of the NWO without any of the organic growth that made that story work before it got too big. So many wrestlers lost their own stories so they could be props in the Invasion storyline. Everybody is The Big Show, turning for no reason other than that the writers choose to flip the good/evil switch. By this point the story is on it's way out. The actual WCW talent has been shuffled to the side and with the remaining cast of characters the Invasion is almost entirely "a McMahon in every corner". Only the injury to HHH keeps this from being the McMahon-Helmsley story with the letters WCW attached. You still have weird bits on this show like the Angle turn happening in order to facilitate the end, but you can tell they're done and ready to ship WCW to the archives.

A couple of guys smashed open one of the fire escapes and pushed a burning wheelie bin inside, it was madness ha ha. I just thought in the car back home...I'm wet, cold, nearly been arrested and covered in shards of glass...I'm done with this shit. Haven't watched it since but LOVE channels like this that give me that nostalgia. WWW, OSW & Wrestling Bios for the win!!!!

My favorite thing about Kurt’s knights of the round table bit is that nobody in the crowd reacted, implying the British don’t know their own history/folklore

is it just me or seeing the old Diva matches look even worse with the level of competition in Women's wrestling today?

I'm legitimately shocked that the WWE of all places would reference Lancelot's betrayal of King Arthur! Lancelot abandoned Arthur toward the end and ran off with Guinevere.

Strange Strangeways is a famous prison, and it's less than a mile from the arena the show was in. It's also got a Smiths album named after it. Local references are fun, I guess

Jericho’s work from 1997-2003 makes him one of the best in my book. This match here is an example of why. No matter how hard he seems to be trying to ruin his legacy, his old work will always hold up.

When you get to the end of the Arthur stories and Lancelot lures Guinevere away from Arthur and causes the civil war that destroys Camelot...you could say that he's a bad guy.

Actually Lancelot was kind of a bad guy toward the end of the Knights of the Round stories.

Like a couple of other commenters I was at this show too and loved it. IIRC Stone Cold and The Rock stayed for about 20 minutes after the main goofing around and singing which they ended up repeating on a RAW or Smackdown segment a few weeks later. Probably a toss up for my favourite WWF/E show I attended between this and Rebellion 2002 (could also be fun to hear your thoughts on this at some point Brian).

Since I was a kid, me, my brother, my cousin and a few of my friends would point out the funny or weird noises. Like Jericho sounding like he's sneezing when he punches.
