Walter, you never cease to amaze me. You never fail in finding the most awesome, interesting places to take us. What a wonderful cave! I guess I have to let go of the idea that Pennsylvania is the center of the universe when it comes to beautiful, fascinating and down right great places to visit. Keep 'em comin' Walter, I'm right there with you.
@WALTERZOLNAАй бұрын
Well thanks Robyn. Pennsylvania is amazing but it's a big country and there is something to see in every corner of it! I have been very fortunate to see so many amazing places thus far and I appreciate your joining me as always! 🙂

I had never heard of this place before.Thanks for taking us along. I hope your brother liked it. Good to go on a rainy day, less people. Spectacular production as usual.

The rain certainly helped keep the crowds down, it was a blessing in disguise as it turned out. My brother likes it he thought it was pretty cool. Thanks Cathy 🙂

What an amazing place. It looks like Hocking Hills is a must see. Thanks for taking us along.
@WALTERZOLNAАй бұрын
Many call it the most scenic place in the Midwest. I can't say that, but it has to be a top contender. Again too, I can only imagine if the waterfalls had been flowing...

Thanks Debbie, it was hard to film with so many folks around, but luckily I got about 5 -10 minutes of the place to myself. Next episode is my favorite from Ohio...

Thanks, it's definitely unlike any other cave I have been in. It's a neat spot

Neat cave. Nice short trail. Something my wife might like to go to.
@WALTERZOLNAАй бұрын
It's a short trail and gets right to the point. There is a bit of a climb on the way out but that is about it. The windows as they call them into the cave allow for light to enter and certainly create a unique perspective. It's a great place to take pictures.

I'm so glad to hear and see that this place wasn't ruined by graffiti and or carvings. Nature is meant to be seen and enjoyed without leaving disgraceful human traces behind.
@WALTERZOLNAАй бұрын
The park was very clean considering the amount of traffic it receives. Some of the signage and trails are worn down but that's to be expected I guess...

It is unbelievable that the location of these geologic formations are in Ohio! Absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing!

Yea I was taken back myself. It has to do with the Black hand Sandstone that underlays the area . It's super neat stuff ...

Next video is my favorite place by far. The only drawback on Hocking Hills atleast from a creator perspective is its incredibly popular and very difficult to film.

Really makes you wanna go there so pretty
@WALTERZOLNAАй бұрын
All the trails are all pretty short and easy too which is a nice touch for most folks. Ofcourse there are much longer and more difficult hikes as well.

Excellent. You got to Hocking Hills. Our favorite place in Ohio!
@WALTERZOLNAАй бұрын
Hey Chris how are you ! Yes, my first time in Ohio actually, what a super cool place. I only hit the main touristy spots, but since returning home I have learned of so many more off the radar locations in the region there. So much to see...
@chrissanfino761Ай бұрын
@WALTERZOLNA yes! And if you like what you see, when finished cross into Kentucky and explore the red River gorge!

Some are , some aren't... I just don't understand why people feel the need to leave their mark on everything. There has to be a physcological reason...

Were any artifacts found in the cave that would indicate native Americans? Any bats?
@WALTERZOLNAАй бұрын
The Rock house had evidence of stills for producing turpentine and also evidence of cooking and fires. For sure Native Americans knew of and used this location at the very least periodically for thousands of years. Unfortunately, this was a family trip and I didn't do alot of research prior to visiting, as I would typically do for one of my videos, but the entire region of Hocking Hills has an amazing human history dating to the last receding glaciers...
