Thank for the demo... I've had my JP-4 since 1983, built in 1979. it is a beautiful raw sounding beast.. sounds like no other Jupiter.. Awesome synth...

The first time I saw and heard a JP4 was in the early 1980s a band named the Mad Shadows playing live in London, their keyboard player was Ian Curnow, I was blown away by the sound,

This is the only Jupiter I’ve never seen in the flesh. Hope to try one some day, sounds beautiful. Like a Juno 60 but different.

I think the older and simpler Jupiter-4 actually sounds better than the much-vaunted Jupiter-8 (and that’s saying something because the Jupiter-8 sounds fantastic).

I have to be honest - I agree - the older synths were unstable & unpredictable - which to me is the charm of analog synths - if you want stable reliable - digital; synths do this perfectly! - Thanks for feedback

Agree. - I have long believed the Jupiter 4 to have a better sound than both the Jupiter 6 and Jupiter 8 - and I have played all three of them.
