A couple of buddies and I drove about 100 miles to see the Stones in 81 and it was a great concert. My only regret was they never did "Angie" or "Wild Horses"! Favourite song with a female in the title? Off the top of my head I'd have to say "Julia" by The Beatles.

YES! I'm so excited that you are experiencing the many sides of the Rolling Stones; they are the band that has a song for every mood/feel, across eras. This is definitely a powerhouse ballad song. A song that I can barely get through since the death of my father is "WILD HORSES"; please consider reacting to that one as well. ❤

This song is from the album Goats Head Soup (1973). Many people would say the Rolling Stones peak musical era was from 1968 to around 1973: Beggars Banquet LP (1968) Let it Bleed LP (1969) Sticky Fingers LP (1971) Exile on Main St. LP (1972) Goats Head Soup LP (1973) Add in the album 'It's Only Rock 'n Roll' (1974), 'Some Girls' (1978) and 'Tattoo You' (1981) and you have most of their best, excluding the early years (1964-1967). 'Some Girls' has the Rolling Stones' classic song 'Beast of Burden'. 'Tattoo You' was sort of a throwback album, as Wikipedia notes: "Tattoo You is an album primarily composed of outtakes from previous recording sessions, some dating back a decade, with new vocals and overdubs." The Tattoo You album opens with the song 'Start Me Up', and closes with the classic 'Waiting on a Friend'. The Rolling Stones early years (1964-1967) before the album *Beggars Banquet* were great too. Lots of great songs, including some non-album singles (a couple of them included below) that are all-time classics: Time is on My Side (1965) Heart of Stone (1965) Get Off of My Cloud (1965) As Tears Go By (1965) Play with Fire (1965) (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction (1965) Mother's Little Helper (1966) 19th Nervous Breakdown (1966) Paint it Black (1966) Under My Thumb (1966) Ruby Tuesday (1967) Let's Spend the Night Together (1967) Jumpin' Jack Flash (1968) Honkey Tonk Women (1969) You really can't go wrong with the Rolling Stones, from 1964 to at least 1981 👍😁
