Really dig the old Chess studio stuff with Ron Malo at the board. At least you can hear Brian on rhythm guitar, unlike the Andrew Oldham productions, where he really buries him. I know Brian is always praised for his multi-instrumental contributions, and justifiably so, but his ability to keep a perfect rhythm is tantamount to a metronome.

Yes. Brian never really played lead. Keith played almost every lead solo on record unless it was slide which Brian played. Keith took over Brian’s slide role on Beggars Banquet playing slide on Jigsaw Puzzle and Salt Of The Earth. Brian only played the slide on No Expectations,
