Had the pleasure of seeing him play Live in Sydney Australia with Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Diddly and Nancy Wilson and at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis Missouri where he performed once a month and was able to shake his hand, have him sign one of his old albums I had in my possession and got one of his pics that he used to play his guitar. A real Gentleman and one of the founding fathers of Rock N Roll. Truly a National Treasure.

No doubt Chuck Berry is the god of Rock'n'roll, he offered to the world his best songs, but the real inventor of this music is the person who, for the real first time, made the link between soul, blues and gospel music and introduce rock'n'roll sounds inhee music : Rosetta Tharpe, a real natural genius, who inspire Chuck and all others great rock'n'roll musicians and singers.. Honor and glory for her, forever and ever..

Gracias a canciones como "Maybellene" (1955), "Roll Over Beethoven" (1956), "Rock and Roll Music" (1957) y "Johnny B. Goode" (1958), Berry redefinió los elementos del rhythm and blues.

Chuck was among the very first inductees ( 1st year ) and deservedly so. All of the inductees from the first two decades are hard to argue. My pet peeve? John Lennon was inducted five years before Paul McCartney on an individual basis. Both should have been inducted in the same year John was.

Great to see so many famous musicians up on stage at the same time . But any professional musicians can see it's a total mess and had the exact same performance been played by unknowns the comments would be things like " what a train wreck" Some famous singer once said some fans don't care what you sing or play, they just want to see you and it makes the performance itself unimportant, the thing that made you famous no longer matter's

Without Chuck Berry there would be no Rock and Roll or Hall of Fame. Somebody explain why he wasn't inducted until 1986 when they should have built the place for him on day 1.
@ymousanon46157 жыл бұрын
I guess Chuck was having hand problems when inducted . Clapton had some sort of arthritis in the 80's and i was told he couldn't play for a year. Sad that chuck didn't play at all . was just wearing that fender . Maybe someone stold his big ass semi hollowbodied Gibson. I thought it really sad he couldn't play at one of the biggest moments in rock history . Still he started it all and is the king of rock and roll.
