Definitely the Stones blending what they liked the most about Otis Redding’s excellent cover version into their own magnificent sound. The result is sheer brilliance.

Mick is quoted as saying that he didn't like Redding's version of the song. Besides that, Richards has always said that he intended the guitar riff, in the recording, to be played by horns.

when i was a kid I went w/a friend to the house of this girl he liked, it was South of Ventura Boulevard, in the Nice part of the valley. Right away I notice Gold Records on the wall, Rolling Stones Gold Records no less. Then I see a pic on the wall, presuming it was the girls Mom, and she looks like a SuperModel. Pretty sure it was the house of Bobby Keys' first wife...but not sure

I really like this laid back version. I've been noticing that on these Marquee Club clips from this gig, the film editors did a lousy job. You can tell at the beginning of most of the songs that the video doesn't match the audio. It's obvious that they are using video clips of them playing who knows what song and splicing it in with the audio of a different song. Kinda ruins it.
@bjones84702 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen a couple clips like that. The Jumpin Jack Flash isn’t them playing that song at all. I don’t know why they do that. I assumed they actually recorded the whole set or sets I don’t know if it’s two nights or what.

É de longe a pior versão ao vivo dessa musica. A melhor versão é a original! Fato!

Don't get me wrong, I love the Stones, but even by 1971 they should've stopped playing this song.
