The Origin of the Roman Empire is established at the moment in which the Roman Republic disappears to give rise to the Empire and therefore to the era of the Emperors.
It started in 27 BC and ended in 476 AD. It extended from the Rhine River to Egypt, reached Great Britain and Asia Minor. Thus, it established a connection with Europe, Asia and Africa.
It became one of the most powerful empires in history. The empire lived two stages during its history, called the high empire and the Lower Empire, during the low empire is where the well-known division in two of the empire comes
Augustus ruled the Empire from 27 BC to 14 AD when he dies. During this time, as he himself says: "he found Rome made of brick but left it made of marble". Augustus reformed the laws of the city and, by extension, those of the empire, secured the Roman borders, initiated great public works (carried out by his faithful general Agrippa, who built the first pantheon), and secured the fame of the Empire for having the greatest cultural and political power known until then. The “Pax Romana” (Roman Peace), also known as “Augustan Peace”, which he himself started, was a period of peace and prosperity unknown until then and that would last more than 200 years.
