THE RON CLARK STORY

The Ron Clark Story (also known as The Triumph) is a 2006 American television film starring Matthew Perry. The film is based on the educator Ron Clark. It follows the tale of an idealistic teacher who leaves his small hometown to teach in a New York City public school, where he faces trouble with the students.
The film was directed by Randa Haines, and was released directly on television, premiering on TNT on August 13, 2006 and was later released on DVD in the 10 Movie Kid's Pack Volume 3 by Echo Bridge Home Entertainment in 2011.
Plot
In 1998, Ron Clark leaves his teaching job at an elementary school in his North Carolina hometown, where he is known for his innovative teaching methods which results in raising test scores. He decides to look for a teaching job in a tough New York City inner city school where he feels he could be more useful. He finds a job at Inner Harlem Elementary School, where the students are sorted according to their potential.
The principal of the school believes Clark may be too "nice-looking," to take on the rough, disruptive students in a sixth-grade class that has just been abandoned by their teacher. He offers Clark a third-grade class, but Clark insists on taking the older kids that nobody else wants. He quickly learns that it will be a battle of wills between himself and his students to see who can outlast the other. He struggles to understand them, both individually and collectively, before he can teach them the standardized materials.

Exactly! I had miserable Teachers in School, they didn't care at all. A few of my Teachers were alcoholics too! I liked School but the Teachers were losers! I had no parent that could speak English but my neighbor who helped me with my homework. When I was in middle school I asked my Algebra teacher to help me and so I stayed late to learn from him which I gained a "B" in my report card. Everything I did including savings from my lunch money to have pocket change was important to buy school supplies and later to buy cheap fabrics to make my own shift-dresses which was popular in the 60s. Never underestimate the power of self- determination. I thank God for his way to help me see what I can accomplish and did. Worked in government jobs where I got promotions due to my self-determined way to pass tests and later in sales after my divorced to have a job that will provide enough income to sustain me. I still helped my mother and older sister by paying off the funeral costs. It isn't easy but I did. However, don't allow this to happen to any of you - but to say, "no" for God made us each individual to learn from our brains what we must do to survive in this world.

@@daphnesuarez5924 I had good teachers in my day and some really leave an impact on you. You seem to learn more from them. I was one of the brightest students and had an eagerness to learn. Only the teacher made that possible. If they were boring, I played up. Then its "Go stand in the corner" or "leather strap on the hand". I dropped out of college to a life of crime and every other sin. Went back to school at 30 (15 years later) and ended up in university 4 years later. Moral of the story: All you kids get those qualifications while you're young or end up going back as adults. Don't waste your life. Its not worth it.

The ending where they are Dancing is the best in all the episodes. No dialogue but it runs 40 sec and you do not want it end. The music was perfect. What a beautiful way to end the season. Love you Chandler and Monica. wish tuis is real amd tou libed happily ever after

I know when I was young student in middle school, I had teachers that when I asked for help they were there for me. Despite my mother not wishing me to continue to finish high school I did. It was important to me as it should be for everyone that wants to get their high school diploma. In fact, I got my diploma which I finished high school and had a job ready to work two weeks before my high school graduation at the auditorium in Miami, FL. So, if one is determined to want to finish high school don't let parents or anyone stop you on your way to do what is best for you. Remember God gives you strength to determine to succeed. Never forget it!

@@carriewittbrodt5072 - The saddest part which I want to tell you, I learned my sister was stopped by my mother not to finish high school so she could be the babysitter of our brother - she "allowed this" and later when she had the opportunity she forgo to finish high school to get married. Guess what I learned- she never worked but leaned on those that worked and when it came to have access to Social Security - she could not qualify due to not working at all nor could she afford to pay back to Social Security for her retirement. PLEASE beware of things that one needs to learn by checking it online through the internet - or go in person to check what they must do to gain access to their Social Security. REMEMBER once must work to earn enough credit to gain access to Social Security Retirement. Others disability may apply to but one needs to check that out too. Beware of the pitfall of not checking things out. I now know why she leaned on me to support her even though she was married? I said, "no!" I worked but I was not a professional individual I just worked hard throughout my life even working 2 jobs to be able to survive.

I had a beautiful teacher by the name of Peter Whitelaw. He knew I loved reading, so before every english class off a lunch break he invited me to class early, so he could help me improve my reading aloud. He was not a sexual deviant, he was a lovely teacher interested in his students. Wherever he is, I hope he has love and peace. He was a lovely teacher and soul 🙏.
