There is a video on the Miller web site that explains how to sync the control.
@MercifulTowing6 ай бұрын
its more than that video explains, that is just to quickly sync it when you turn it on. Ours are completely losing communication with the receiver and will not connect. I spent a day on the phone with miller engineers and we still couldnt get it figured out so they are sending me new receiver and remote.

I use the milwaukee goat skin gloves for that exact reason, They don't velcro, And they are waterproof for quite a while into you wear the hell out of them, not super lightweight but they have pretty good dexterity still, Downside is in the winter they are very cold so I rotate them out for insulated gloves then, and in cooler months they stay pretty cool when you first put them on which sometimes is really nice sometimes not so much. If you want light I believe Milwaukee also has the nitrile dipped style that is still waterproof and slip on with no velcro but is a little lighter, I prefer the thicker goat skin ones nitrile gloves always want to stick to you when you take them off and come halfway inside out in my experience.
@MercifulTowing6 ай бұрын
Im not a fan of the nitrile style gloves. So far these have been working great if they do get wet they dry out super quick. I can deal with velcro for the way these are being im impressed. Just a matter of how well they hold up only time will tell that! Ill probably buy another pair though for sure!
@towtruckaj6 ай бұрын
@@MercifulTowing I can't stand the velcro usually, Only exception I make is for winter gloves as its a lot harder to find a decent insulated pair of gloves without velcro, Not a big fan of the nitrile either but I prefer them over velcro.

My remote looks similar to yours, when mine goes off sync there's a small hole on the lower right, I put a paper clip in it to reset, push in until you feel a click and it's good to go. A lot of times all it takes is to pop the battery out and re-install it.

What is a flanged drive shaft? Did the Vovlo have an Allison or the IShift Automatic?
@MercifulTowing6 ай бұрын
The flange driveshaft is a flat plate on both the drivline and the pinion and they have little grooves they lock together and then you use 4 nuts and bolts to secure it. they are an absolute pain when they start to rust ive had them so tight I had to cut them out. They can reallly mess up a day!

its not a good sign if a hook is towing a new truck set up the highway, I've seen navistars, kenworths, freightliners, and I think a set of used trucks getting the hook

3:22 The people required emissions. The government takes orders from the people, not the other way around junior. Cool how you attack the government for something that directly benefits you. Getting the particulates out of the air has extended your quality of life. Hell you are literally getting paid for an alleged emission issue... I'm surprised you are not blaming the government for your controller not working. After all the government assigns the frequency, and power it is allowed to operate at.

Can you hardwire the remote to the truck with a 20 ft cable, and Autocar trucks are way more problematic than Volvo or freightliner trucks
@MercifulTowing6 ай бұрын
No its completely wireless and I dont really want a wired remote. They have changed away from the good remotes due to backorder issues so they came up with these and maaaannnn it wasnt a good idea on their end. I think theyve realized that as the old remotes have become more available im seeing them on new trucks now so fingers crossed we only have to deal with these for a couple years.
@boboda76 ай бұрын
@@MercifulTowing when we use our wireless remote near cell towers , electric sub stations, and near ham radio antennas or other places with high frequency interference we hard wire our remote with a 20ft cable back to the truck because the remote will not respond if it’s not physically attached to the truck
@MercifulTowing6 ай бұрын
@@boboda7 that's crazy is that on these newer trucks? We'd have to install a whole new system to be able to hard wire into the truck
