For many people going to Johor Bahru from Singapore, they will go to Woodlands Checkpoint and will either take bus or trains. KTM is the only corss border Transit to travel by train. But in late 2020s, there's another train to take you from Woodlands Checkpoint to Johor Bahru. The new train will be called, Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System or RTS Link for

Building is one-off whereas maintenance is a different story. I hope RTS will appoint Singapore to do the task.

With the downgrade from MRT to LRT system, I expect the RTS to reach full capacity soon after it starts operating. And worse off is there's barely any room for expandibility unlike an MRT system. Planners forget to include factors like induced demand

Free the Tebrau Strait from all dams and make it a canal (Cannel). 1. The Johor Embankment Tambak Johor) needs to be demolished and replaced by building a high suspension bridge such as the Penang Bridge or the Golden Gate Bridge. The construction of the bridge aims to allowing the flow of sea water in the Tebrau Strait to move without restriction while allowing ships to move through the Tebrau Strait as well as generating the national economy. The Johor causeway is no longer relevant considering that Malaysia has been independent for 75 years. 2. The construction of the RTS route from Johor to Woodland, Singapore should not be built on the surface of the sea in the Tebrau Strait because the route will block the flow of sea water in the Tebrau Strait as well as prevent the entry of ships through the Tebrau Strait. It is proposed that the construction of the RTS route from Johor to Woodland, Singapore uses the method of constructing a seabed tunnel (Tunnel) with the aim of making the Tebrau Strait free from all dams and unblocked and at the same time the flow of sea water in the Tebrau Strait can move.

Should ASEAN have its own Schengen or should the Commonwealth do multiple Schengens in the individual regions that it covers? Because with passport-free travel we can theoretically extend the MRT network seamlessly into JB to connect to the KTM network. Conversely, KTM can re-extend their network from JB Central to connect with the MRT at Woodlands North. It's already what other major cities across the world are doing, extending their metros into the surrounding towns

RTS should have been an MRT since the causeway desperately needs a new way to get around and RTS will fill up to capacity way too quickly i feel.

Since there's a cross-border high speed train under planning for quite a few years I wonder if they built this crossing in a way to allow high speed trains to also pass through it in the future. I'm concerned about the third rail and the "automatic train operating system" posing a risk to compatability of HS trains in this route. Tho It's entirely possible for a line to have both third rail and overhead line so...hopefully they though it out properly

Train tickets are released 4 weeks in advance and if you can’t get the ticket or if it’s sold out, you only have the bus and own transport or walking to rely on which is tedious. You could save more time and energy with the new system. Which China train falls apart?
